For me it feels like it has less destruction than 4 and the operators are just something I thought I’d like but it feels off in battlefield. None of the maps were that good either and it always felt too spread out or too many flanks to get shot from. And I’m a huge planetside 2 player so I’m used to 500+ player battles (I miss those days) and it felt everytime I died it was from somewhere that made 0 sense and was frustrating
There’s definately less destruction on the maps. The super hero thing negates classes entirely. The fact that you can’t (or could t at launch) run squads or have comms in the game was crazy.
Basically all the mechanics that reinforced any semblance of team play were removed.
I guess I spent 9,99 Euro on 1 month Game Pass to realize that it’s too bad on my GTX 970 to be fun, glad there are other games I can play for the money. Still I need to see for myself, cry a bit and life will go on.
Meanwhile, the game won't even launch for me because apparently if you don't have the most recent version of Windows, it won't recognize your graphics card. And for whatever reason absolutely refuses to update to 22H2.
Oh, thanks for posting that second video! I'm sure the action video works great for some people, but it's not my style, I find those highly stylized, quick cut, action videos can be very misleading about how a game is actually played. They must be effective though because game developers always seem to release trailers like that... Anyway, the second video with the actual gameplay looks very promising, I'm excited for this game!
Aw. From the thumbnail, I was hoping for 3D shaders that somehow matched the cartoon. Transformers: Devastation pulled it off mumble-mumble years ago and looked friggin’ incredible. I know it’s mostly using environment maps for squiggly cell-shaded reflections, but just, god dang. The execution can be masterful.
It definitely doesn’t look like it would be fun to play; but having played PowerWash Simulator, there is something very relaxing about the gameplay loop.
It definitely isn’t for everyone, and it isn’t the most challenging game; but that doesn’t mean it can’t be relaxing and fun.
In any case, I don’t expect this to turn you around on the game, but it’s not as ridiculous a premise as you’d think.
I’m loving this game. If you want, here’s the longer version of that answer. 😀 my wife has also become hooked and is playing it on her Switch.
Apart from the DeLorean, I wonder what else they’re could be? Biff’s 1955 car, the Toyota pickup truck, the Libyans VW camper van or maybe some locations? Looking forward to it.
I love it for the most part, the only thing I wish they’d change is the cleanliness tols for smaller or larger objects. It’s not fun to try and pixel hunt the last bit of rust on the inside of a wheel, and it’s a little disappointing to get almost done with a big flat panel only for the game to decide you’re done before you can spray off that last little chunk.
