High praise for a game that i’ve been looking forward to! Like Journey with super satisfying sand-surfing mechanics, and all the reviews indicate that they really pulled off what they were aiming for.
I had no idea that this was coming out, and it sort of makes me want a PS5… And then I check the price and I think I can wait a couple of years until it’s on PC.
I feel like I’m the only one unexcited by this. It looks good and reviews well but 50ish hours of Ghost of Tsushima was more than enough for me. I don’t really have appetite for another helping of “more of the same”.
I think that’s totally fair. I had the same experience with Middle Earth: Shadow of War. I got my fill with the first one, the second one just felt like more of the same.
In this case, I never played the first one, and I think I’m only hyped bc I had just finished watching Blue Eye Samurai around the same time that the first Yotei trailer dropped. I’m still waiting until the PC drop though, but I think it’ll be fun open world junk food when I get around to it.
I played the first one “co-op” with my partner, and that helped dampen some of the repetitive elements. She made all the decisions and I controlled the game Will probably do the same with this, but much farther down the road when it is cheaper
It’s not, really. The multiplayer mode is a totally different story and much more of an arcade version of the main game experience. If not for wanting to unlock the white kitsune mask, I would have completely ignored it because it kinda sucked with all the magic BS.
