Smart. I’ve got at least a week’s worth of Hades left to play, and I literally hadn’t heard of this game. Now, I’ll probably check it out when it drops.
I have been watching the Prince of Persia game, but I would absolutely have glazed right over its release while entranced by Hades II, so yes, I agree with you, it’s a very smart decision on their part.
(Also, can I just say, holy shit is Hades II some good value. It’s basically two games worth of content in one. More than twice the size of Hades I. Utter insanity.)
You’re kinda both right - Dead Cells was developed by Motion Twin, who spun off a smaller team called Evil Empire to support it after release. Rogue PoP is developed by Evil Empire, while Motion Twin proper is working on Windblown.
I guess I really wasn’t into the game as I wasn’t emotionally involved at all. Not like in Last of Us 2 when Abby and Ellie are fighting. I was feeling their pain and anger and was really destabilized as if two of my close friends were fighting.
I hear it’s amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!
The first time playing when he starts telling me to turn the game off cuz I’ve been playing a long time, I had literally been playing one long-ass session up to that point without ever turning the game off. Freaked me out. Psycho Mantis in mgs1 could tell you exactly how long you played, and I thought this was a legit Easter egg for playing a single 12+ hour session. lol
Big thanks to the awesome people over at /c/retrogaming for helping me get my save file off the Caanoo and into something more modern (Skyemu and Miyoo mini plus).
Once during a long train trip I beat the Metroid Prime three times in a row in Metroid Prime Pinball, and at that point I told myself “OK, this game will never end, drain all remaining balls and do something else”.
Holy crap, that’s dedication. Were you using savestates at all?
My late uncle let me play his copy when I was a kid, and when he told me I caught some pokemon he didn’t have. I got really proud of myself. I remember always trying to get the Master Ball, but it was too hard on the Red table, so I’d always play blue.
I know there are others that have probably reached a higher score, but thought I would share. Ive been playing this off and on for over 11 years. I actually dont remember when I started.
Now if only FATLUS port other mainline Megaten games into PC/steam at reasonable price. Seeing Noctune on steam was like fever dream, not to mention that rumour SMTV for PC release from Geforce Now leak ;_;
Yes. You can emulate almost every mainline Megaten games. However, native pc port lets user to have accessibility (especially for casual user) instead of going through steps setup emulator. Paired that with reasonable regional price (except I doubt in the case of ATLUS/SEGA), they can have free money printer while at the same time adds more availability to how you play them.
