The good news is that the mic is a piece of cake (relatively speaking, as someone who has tinkered with electronics before) to disconnect. Will it throw any errors/refuse to boot? Dunno, haven’t seen that attempted yet.
Answer (without even needing to read the article): they can’t legally brick your console, but we live in an oligarchy that refuses to enforce the law against the powerful.
There’s always the option of just scrolling past if you’re sick of the coverage. I’m not on any other instances, and this hadn’t been posted on Beehaw yet. Bee Nicer.
I like it. I think if I had been a first time player (far from it — I played it at release), this would be a worthy way to experience the game. That said, playing it again just feels deeply discordant for me. It’s drop-dead gorgeous with the visuals, but the sound effects, NPC models, and so much more just remind me of the original jank, and it snaps me back and forth, lol. Going back to KCD2, cus it’s new to me.
The YouTube algorithm has been real weird lately. It suggested a video to me and I had no idea why until now. I watch a lot of Doom stuff, so it wasn’t off base, I just didn’t have context for it.
It’s Coincident (the streamer this is about) commenting over a “lost” demo of Okuplok playing the map themselves. Spoiler: they do not finish it! But it was neat hearing Coincident discuss his own strategies for the map in comparison to how the creator (allegedly) approached it.
What I like about this image is that this is probably the biggest object that I can compare to something I know, that I can “comprehend”. With 6 km wide, it is about the same size as Grenoble, a city I have seen from above while hiking. I can understand how far the picture looks from it, how small a human would be on it
Aren’t consoles and their new game always ridiculously expensive on launch? I know Nintendo stuff often doesn’t drop in price that much but I’d be surprised if they stay this expensive for long. Plenty of other games to play in the meantime!
These links take you to a price tracker with a chart showing historical prices. The RRP of each of these has been static, and discounts are short and infrequent.
In a break from form Nintendo hasn’t released a budget “Selects” label for older titles this generation.
Fair point, but I still can’t imagine they’ll be double that price for long. The only GBP price I’ve seen for a Switch 2 game is the MKW bundle which is only £30 more than the console on its own.
Cloud saves are for playing on more than one box as well as backup. Achievements, from the developer’s POV, give some insight into player behaviour, you can also drop hints there (I would never have tried to pet the manta in Satisfactory otherwise), make suggestions for tasks people can set themselves, etc. Whether you, as a player, cares honestly nobody but you gives a fuck.
I can tell you, for example, just from the achievement statistics, that a metric fuckton, an absolute majority, of Cities:Skylines players play modded. They do track city building milestones and very very few people are reaching anything even close to mid-game with achievements still enabled.
