I’ve already noticed that I’m pretty sure the Echoes are meant to be spots from the OG and I’ve already spoiled the secret with the photos too. I’m really excited to see more. The team really put a ton of care into it

Yeah, it was released for all three major consoles that generation. Not sure why OP said just PS2. I think I replayed it on Dolphin, but other emulators probably work also.

Ahh… at the time, I could only find it on PS2. I had never seen a copy for any other console.

I do want to mention I had to turn on vsync through the Nvidia Control Panel. I have no choice but to play on a TV, and the screen tearing is awful on every game

I’d remember playing this on Nintendo when I was around 7 years old. My cool ass already knew how to play chess for a year or so, but I would absolutely bomb it during the fights.

IIRC, they basically made the fog effect less extreme due to it being a straight port and not having the same kind of fog system that the PS1 used. Didn’t make it bright and welcoming, just less scary because now you could see all the things you weren’t supposed to, like breaks in the level geometry that would have been hidden in the original version.
