Try emulating Kirby and the Forgotten Land using a Switch emulator.
I recommend avoiding people’s recommendations for PC-only/indie games altogether. You will be lowering your standards just to get something that ‘works’ rather than something that’s actually worth your time.
If you want some retro, try Dungeon Siege. Works on Linux. I played this game when it came out and recently got back into it because I never finished it there first time. Really chill dungeon rpgish game. Easy mechanics, but I haven’t tested how the multiplayer works.
Stardew Valley. My wife and I just started playing it together. It is a good time. Genuinely fantastic game.
I picked up gaming in 2022 (played all the Halo Games, Star Wars Fallen order and Survivor, Dark Souls) and she hasn’t played anything since childhood in the 90’s… We are both loving Stardew.
I know that you said multiplayer, but if I can be one more voice on single player games that you guys may enjoy playing in turns I strongly recommend GRIS. It is so beautiful and I think it suits itself well for shorter play sessions.
Shootas Blood and Teef. A 40k themed side scrolling shooter with very heavy stylized graphics. If you like 40k it’s a good insight in how orks see themselves. If you don’t like 40k it’s still a mechanically solid game and it doesn’t really have the same grimdarkness that is common in 40k games.
I played one online match of Halo 3 snipers the other week and it lasted all of 3-4 minutes because the other team just knew exactly where everything was. It was a little ridiculous tbh. Like I got maybe 2 kills the entire match and they just kept one- and two-shotting us the whole time. It just didn’t feel fair or fun, and this was in social mathmaking.
After seeing you post about halo recently I downloaded MCC on xbox, and am having a blast going through the custom games. Theres sometimes that one guy who takes it too seriously and goes nuts on mic at the team for not knowing the fastest weapons to destroy the blockades on Fat Kid, but overall everyone seems to be friendly enough and just there for a good time.
YouTube educator, Cleo Abrams did a video on this as well as the actual options available to us to protect against asteroids, and found a new asteroid on camera
