Wont happen. Average consumer consumes without thought for the larger picture, theres a reason we got to this point, people are suckers and buy it all, the most recent trap they willingly jump into is "pre order for X days early access", I will never understand.
DOS2 combat allowed you to do goofy stuff and was fun casting spells. BG3 is more 1 turn 1 action and much slower and methodical, I mean makes sense, it is DnD afterall, it's designed for tabletop.
Yeah, was expecting a lot more from character creation, but it's just the same as DOS2. I mean most of the game is just DOS2, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing, DOS2 was awesome. Just do yourself a favour and get this mod, it makes the game much more playable.
Who is buying this on Steam? It's priced higher than BG3...
It's defo a game for a month of game pass and then can purchase at a sale later if it's worth it.
It won't have a large effect, but in previous examples of companies doing this, comments would lead me to believe more people who pirated end up buying the game to support the devs after trying it. It makes sense too, but same pirates are unlikely to buy anything that had denuvo and stuff shoved into it.
The camera is very restrictive. Dos2 had a mod that unlocked the camera allowing you to zoom in or out as far as you wanted or tilt it as much as youd like and it made the game infinitely more enjoyable. It still got stuck on terrain like, but it was still better.
BG3 has the same camera, constantly getting stuck on or in terrain, cant handle elevation changes, cant zoom out, cant tilt far. The game just needs a free cam where I can look wherever I like without it colliding with terrain and objects, there's no reason for it to be so restrictive. Why build this beautiful world and then dont even let us look at it?
Still has the shitty locked camera though and lots of the same little issues DOS2 had. They are great games, so the small problems stick out a lot more.
Probs cause they randomly buff/nerf stuff, so they keep them incase. Bungies own fault for having no idea what to do with the game changing systems constantly, so there's no easy way to get an exact item back once its dropped.
Shame these companies don't support projects like these. Like they are ever going to remaster it themselves anyway and I doubt it would be that popular. Would be free PR for them.
