There’s also the factor of the death or at least severe weakening of regional cultures, think your old Californian desert, Appalachian, or Old Boston cultures. A lot of these were weakened or even wiped out by the Great depression, Dust Bowl, and post war migrations, meaning that even the stronger of these more regional cultures can barely flex even in their own areas.
While it’s obviously misguided there is a reason rural folks are so conservative, the source isn’t necessarily political it’s because they recognize that their culture is weakening to the mainstream Pan American culture but assume it’s political since they don’t really have the language to figure out otherwise.
Yep and honestly I think it’s one of the better Assassins Creed games. It shows that at their best the Templar’s are trying to guide humanity into its future, while at their worst the Assassins are children playing with powers they don’t understand. Mind you that’s within the fact that the Templar’s are power tripping assholes in most games. I kinda wish we could get a Templar equivalent to Origin, perhaps have the Templar’s emerge out of the collapse of the Western Roman Empire after witnessing the Assassins being stupid with an artifact.
Yeah I think some folks get confused and think Steam machines were a Steam based console, but the closest to that is the Steam Deck which admittedly is pretty solid. Though I do think Valve has experimented with making a Steam Console in the past but I don’t think it went anywhere, though it also couldve been absorbed into the Steam Deck team.
They did save quite a few artifacts, but there are plenty more that they just stole with no good reason. Like the Parthenon reliefs(?) Greece has been largely stable since it’s independence was won from the Ottoman empire WW2 not withstanding, or any Scottish artifacts the English sully with their hands, or quite a few Egyptian artifacts. Though I do think artifacts should be split between the home country and the excavation teem be it University or country specific or whatever.
The only games I know of that need to restart every once in awhile are Paradox games and ultra modded Bethesda games. Paradox because sometimes the game needs a restart to let the AI reprioritize and for Bethesda it’s because of memory leaks that become a problem after too many mods. The fact that Borderlands 4 is that bad out of the box is fucking sad.
Just to give a more shit show example there’s also Yandere Sim. Theres so much to that shit show that I can’t even get into, mostly cause I’m fucked up on Tylenol.
