I live in one of the grey countries. You can create an account, but Sony offers different stores in different countries, so you have to pick another country. They even sells consoles in many of the grey countries. The biggest issue is that you probably won’t be able to buy anything without extra hustle because your card is not issued in the country of your PSN account. Also, this is technically against their ToS. But you can create an account to play Helldivers 2.
With that said, I can’t speak for all countries. Maybe somewhere it’s really impossible to create an account without VPN.
You have to conquer areas of the city to proceed with the story. You go to some place like a factory, kill everyone, leave, a boss of the factory becomes alerted, comes to the factory, you go back and kill everyone again to get to the boss, kill or hire the boss. And that’s like 80% of the game. I think there were 20-30 repetitive missions like that with 0 substance. But Mafia I and Mafia II are fully focused on the story.
I find myself with some time it’s difficult to get invested when I know I won’t have more time going forward.
I feel the same sometimes. I’m so disappointed with games like God of War and Doom. Between my gaming sessions, I forget how their talents and upgrades systems work, and generally I have no interest in them. Nowadays everything wants to be an RPG, and throw as many mechanics at their players as possible. But I just want to have some fun after work, not obtain a PhD in game design.
How does this contradict what they said though? Just because some niche community knows these games, it doesn’t make them platform-selling games. Valve had HL2 with episodes, Portal, TF2, CS, and Dota 2.
Where does it say that you can’t make an app? From my understanding, you can’t distribute in their store. Nobody is taking away your hardware or blocks you from using it.
First of all, who are you to decide what I need and what I don’t need? Secondly, okay, 1500-2000 EUR for a mid-range PC. Even the lower boundary is 2.5 times more expensive than PS5. With Xbox the difference is even bigger.
600EUR console vs 2000-3000EUR PC. I get it, PC gives you more options what to do and what to play, but getting a console is not waste of money in my books.
