slaacaa, do games w How Do You Deal With Thumb Stick Drift?

For me it’s the other way around, old X360/PS4 controller had some minor stick drift, but no problem with newet gens

slaacaa, do games w How Do You Deal With Thumb Stick Drift?

Same conclusion for me.

The way some of my friends use controllers wants me to not have them around my house. Loudly banging sticks against the outer extremities, while for me it never even makes a sound.

I take care of my controllers, and only had very minot stick drift on 5-7 years old X/PS controller.

slaacaa, do gaming w Deus Ex star says that Eidos asked him not to talk about Adam Jensen in public any more

Yeah, the way he talks about it does not help the chances of a new game with. I can understand the frustration of an artist that is popular worldwide, while sometimes living paycheck to paycheck doing small roles. Still, maybe he should discuss with his agent how to share his views with the press in a more positive way, to avoid biting the hand that might feed him again in the future.

No, thanks

You still can, that’s why - outside of a few exceptions - I only buy console games on disc, and sell them later

Good choice buying the second for backup. As a console game pr I know nothing about mouses, but I would assume they don’t make this anymore after a decade.

Anybody here played this game? Looks interesting, but I’m hesitant due to the mixed reviews

slaacaa, (edited ) do games w "The Day Before" makers Fntastic are shutting down.

The amount of people who don’t understand how this is a scam is sad. It’s not about the pocket change from steam sales (which they may get or may not at all), it’s about living for a few years on investor money and doing nothing (or working your own business). And they did release a game at the end, so the investors cannot easily sue them for fraud, as they can just put their hands up and say they tried, it just didn’t work out.

You do realize this was a scam?

With some different outcome scenarios for sure, but all of them included some dudes living on salaries payed by investors for a few years, then fucking off into the sunset with a variable amount of pocket change from the day 1 sales.

Huh, so turns out the game does exist - though it seems it shouldn’t

Yet the game was still released and marketed to them - thus the issue

Funny how they pretend to ask a question, then downvote you when you give them an answer they don’t like.

It’s also half the price of the SD with a bigger resolution screen (bUt mUh oLEd). I pick it up, press like 2 buttons, and I’m playing in 20 sec. I was happy to pay for the convenience, have been using it a lot since I got it the day after the release.

slaacaa, do gaming w Gabe Newell on why game delays are okay: 'Late is just for a little while. Suck is forever.'

It’s not about unknown issues on the dev side, it’s about greed. CDPR wanted to release for Xmas when the large playerbase of the prev gen consoles was still relevant, so they happily pushed marketing and lied to take people’s money, hoping they can pay exec bonuses and fund future development from that.

Sony had to pull the game from the online store, as it was barely playable. One good question of course why Sony would let it even be there without testing, but of course major companies are trusted to QA themselves, and not release a broken game - luckily this seems to work most of the time.

Agree. Also the same with CP77 - I don’t care how much they update and polish that game, I’m not touching it again. It was barely playable on XBOX1X on release. I luckily was able to sell my launch day copy with a small loss, but I’m not trusting them with my money again, after I (and many others) have been misled, and given an unplayable game on consoles.

I am not an investor to lend money to the company for development, I am a consumer, so I want a working game for my money on Day 1, otherwise I’m shopping elsewhere - as plenty of studios manage to great and polished games (e.g. most PS exclusives).
