Despite the fact that I complained on release that Solar Ash isn’t nearly as good as Hyper Light Drifter, I think it’s a really underrated game. The atmosphere and visuals are incredible, and the platforming is really fun. Hopefully now it’ll get some recognition.

Excited to play Lies of P when it comes out. I’ve been wanting an actually good soulslike for a while.

I can’t wait for this game. Shovel Knight (and all its expansions) might be the best modern retro game I’ve played. Mina the Hollower looks like it hits in all the right spots as well.

I think digital foundry hit the nail on the head when they said “This isn’t a space simulation like No Man’s Sky or Star Citizen, it’s a Bethesda RPG with space as a background setting”. For a lot of people that’s not a bad thing, but the advertising for this game set expectations wrong.

The performance is also very good on the Deck, with stable 60FPS in indoor scenes and playable sub-60 in large outdoor areas.

Wow, really? The game has a 1070 Ti minimum requirement, I barely expected this to work on Deck

I’m kind of surprised they went for the Switch/Tablet form-factor for this instead of targeting the phone scale

It seems like every one of these new handhelds is trying to have the best specs in the market no matter what. The ROG Ally was sold as a more powerful steam deck, and now the Legion Go comes in with a better screen and battery. It does seem really big, though.

I’m eyeing the GPD Win Mini right now. It’s not out yet and I’m waiting for reviews but it looks like a comfy small handheld with great specs. Not quite a phone form factor but it’s close enough. May be close to what you’re looking for.

Pretty excited to get my hands on this game 5 days later! Reviews are surprisingly more split than I expected, with some calling it an easy 10/10 while others call it shallow. The general impressions are: If you like Fallout, you’ll love this game. I like Fallout, so I’m in.

By the way, IGN gave this game a 7/10, which is a new one for them because they hand out 9/10s like candy.

Super impressive reviews so far. I think we can expect the average score to go down slightly more as more mainstream journalists find the time to play it, but still huge props for getting such high praise.

Edit: The average rating has since gone from 95 to 90

Of course this had to come out in the most busy time of the year… I’m already trying to finish Blasphemous 2 before starfield comes out…

After 5 years in development and heavily pushing Unreal Engine 5 technologies, Immortals of Aveum was met with a whopping 751 player peak. For reference, Forspoken was considered a flop but still had over 12,000 players peak total. This may be the biggest flop of the year.
