schmidtster,

In majority of other games it would be a valid scaling complaint. Yes you don’t need to level, but it’s part of the game as well, it should be implemented correctly so everyone can enjoy all parts of the game.

Not just don’t level up to enjoy it.

schmidtster,

Is this why every game is popping up with a controller prompt now?

schmidtster,

No prompts after that update, so nope not that one.

schmidtster,

One says a controller firmware update and the other doesn’t. Imma go with the one that says there was a firmware change over the one that doesn’t, it’s also the one that caused the prompt on my side.

schmidtster,

I got a steamdeck for my birthday and I’ve only put EmuDeck on it, they are working on a PC version, it’s an all in one package.

schmidtster,

Don’t they have a mumble mode? Or was that just the new SW game?

schmidtster,

I mean if it gives one of them the chance instead of allowing you the guaranteed win… one would be foolish to not do it really.

schmidtster,

And if I’m on my last stock at 150% you can be damn sure I’m gonna try and take them with me.

Plus, if you can’t handle an impromptu handicap, do you really deserve the title anyways?!

schmidtster,

Reminds me quite a bit of evoland, loved the concept of “evolving” through the different graphic eras.

schmidtster,

Ah yes, I totally expect Nintendo games to play on all their hardware like a 3ds…

schmidtster,

A severely limited device, like a 3ds compared to a switch even….

schmidtster,

Sure, but they also make mobile games, do you expect hose to play on the switch too…?

schmidtster, (edited )

No, a 3ds to switch is a pretty apt comparison about a modern pc to a steam deck actually.

There is absolutely no reason why anyone would assume this should be optimized for a mobile device. You would be limiting its potential in PC, if they can’t provide the same experience across all devices, they aren’t going to. It’s a competitor shooter for one thing….

Where am I comparing apples to oranges…? I’m using different approaches to show that not everygame a company designs is going to be playable on all devices, it’s NEVER, been that way. So why would it suddenly change just for this one case…?

schmidtster,

Yes it’s an awesome device and that’s not what was being discussed…

News flash, companies design games for different systems all the time, why should this one game be any different…?

schmidtster, (edited )

How is any of that relevant to a company being able to design games for what they want…?

But I will address this point. Yes it would limit what they could do to the PC version, look at what happened to coop for BG3 on the series S, sometimes devices just can’t do everything….

schmidtster,

Where am I reaching?

I also never put words in your mouth. I’ve used different methods to describe how companies make games for other hardware all the time.

Why should this game be different? Are you going to answer any of my questions or are you just going to continue to deflect with these endless fallacies?

schmidtster,

Compared to modern PCs… my argument hasn’t changed at all.

schmidtster,

Bull shit, one of their conditions for a game to be on game pass is it can’t be on another streaming service. How is that choice…?

schmidtster,
schmidtster,

Currently? Not really, not one thing he has said has head of Xbox has turned out to be true.

schmidtster,

But he’s not even telling the truth right now. All the FTC documents have shown everything he’s publicly said in the last 5 years has been nothing but lies.

Of course they will claim stuff changes, but the internal documents show that it’s always been lies, always.

schmidtster,

They all do it, but one has publicly claimed they don’t while the other admits they do. Everyone else hasn’t claimed either way.

So who’s the bad guys here? Sony for pointing it out or MS for continuing to lie about it?

schmidtster,

Wonder if that pseudo opens the screen.

schmidtster,

I think gamepass doesn’t fall under you charging yourself for the game, so those devs may not be affected.

schmidtster,

I doubt that will happen, opening console commands could lead to an attack vector for hacking.

schmidtster,

It is a new engine for this game.

It’s like arguing the UE5 isn’t new since it’s an upgrade UE4.

schmidtster,

It also is new, it used the creation engine 2.

It would be like arguing that UE5 isn’t new just because it’s an upgraded UE4.

schmidtster,

Every engine has its own different limitations.

Not everyone cares about climbing ladders so it may not be something they feel is worth the effort to add to their engine.

To say it hasn’t been updated extensively is frankly insulting and is also fundamentally wrong.

schmidtster, (edited )

Nope, talking in general, and thanks for proving my point as well!

So if you’ve played all their games, you should know exactly what to expect and shouldn’t have any complaints than… you’ve enjoyed the game and engine, if you want something new, don’t buy their products and support their decisions……

Where am I defending Bethesda…? I’m defending facts and truth, I’m adding a little of my own opinion, but that shouldn’t be discouraged. But everything I’ve stated is based on facts, it’s a new engine, yes it has issues, so does every other engine……

schmidtster,

Please point out where I defended Bethesda? Pointing out facts that coincide with them doesn’t make me defending them.

In my other comments I also talk about issues, but of course people only see what they want….

schmidtster,

Because it gives people something to whine about, literally it.

If it wasn’t ladders, it would be ropes that you clip through instead of tight walking.

schmidtster,

Yes… that’s how engines work unless you rewrite them……

schmidtster,

Defending truth and facts is a hill everyone should die on, comparing about immersion breaking ladders… well that’s a very strange one…

But thank you for adding to the conversation? You didn’t really, but hey you tried and maybe that’s all that matters…?
