If you’re willing to put some effort you can get the original on PC and mod it. It looks much better with mods. The mods are pretty easy to install and it won’t cost you $180 over however many years to get the full story
For real, Steam literally took off because they made HL2 exclusive to it. It doesn’t matter that it’s a first party game, the effect and intent was identical. They could’ve made it generally available but chose not to. They forced people to use their proprietary product to install a game.
It’s crazy how many people shill for valve on Reddit and lemmy when they’ve already done most of the shit Epic gets accused of.
If Howard is involved your can bet the show will be boring and cheesy as fuck.
I’m honestly shocked so many of you are giving this show a chance after the disaster of Fallout 76, Starfield’s mediocrity + the weird ass review controversy. It’s incredible how much loyalty a corp can command
Too many devs think they’re above unionizing. It’s going to be very difficult to pull off. They won’t be interested until it’s too late.
Bottom line is that tech is chock full of greedy fucking people who only care about what they’re getting paid this year.
I don’t think the gaming industry could lead on this issue though. It’s tech companies like FAANG that really lead the market and that’s where people refuse to organize.
