qwertyqwertyqwerty,

This is going to be straight garbage. Not only will it be overstuffed with every microtransaction possible, there’s no way to balance the characters while still keeping them true to the comics. Thor vs. Mantis? Dr. Strange vs. Punisher? Maybe you can help it a bit by having some of the classes be dps/healer/tank, and constrain them somehow, but I don’t see how this would ever work.

Outside of a mobile game. If they are making it a mobile game, it will make $2 billion and be a completely unbalanced piece of shit, and everyone will love it anyways and play it for the next two years.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Reddit was definitely worse than one person’s opinion on a obvious cash grab mobile game. I’m not mad. I’m likely not the target audience for this game. If you are excited about it, be excited. Go play it. Give them your money. They will be excited too. Have fun. Spend. Enjoy.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I’m all for supporting developers not being harassed, but what the hell is that screenshot library? What even is this game? I stopped scrolling after a bit because the dialog looks…gross, at best, if not straight up soft incest porn.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Thank you for the clarification. The screenshots for the game on Steam’s site led me to believe it was a horror-romance focused game that heavily leaned on incest. In either case, this is likely not a game for me. Good on the dev for being able to step away from the drama and focus on their work. Shame on people for harassing them.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Yeah, I’m probably understating what happened to the dev. I don’t know the entire story. I just wish them the best.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I need to get back to playing W3. It seems like a great game by all accounts. But, I will not be purchasing another game from CDPR until at least 6 months post-release given the state of CP2077. Not only was it released in an unacceptable state, it wasn’t the game that was promised. There have been so many good games released between last year and this year, I can wait until ~2030 if they need to take their time polishing it and making it a complete experience.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

That’s unfortunately true. There are not many developers/publishers I would trust to purchase their products on release day.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I personally couldn’t make it past the “no object permanence” issue, where NPC’s would just spawn into and out of existence depending on where the camera was pointing. It was like a magician brought a clear cloth to the table to perform a trick, and we could see how the trick was performed the entire time. It doesn’t make his performance less impressive, but it sure would make it less immersive.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I have only played a few hours, but I recall what I thought was a side quest involving pigs, which was a great quest. Are you suggesting that memorable side quests are infrequent and can/should be skipped?

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

You realize cyberpunk wasn’t the only game they’ve made that needed fixed after release right?

Nope. I skipped those.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Not rendering != despawn entities and respawn entirely new entities every time your camera changes direction. They also advertised it as NPC’s each having their own unique routines, etc. Talk about overpromising and underdelivering. This broke immersion too much for me to play the game. The second I hit the city and saw how NPC’s were handled, I was done. It’s unfortunate, because I thought the map design, sound, graphics, and gunplay all seemed really good.

Space sim Squadron 42 is "feature-complete" and gunning for Starfield's lunch with massive new video (www.rockpapershotgun.com) angielski

Squadron 42 is the single player campaign of Star Citizen, that is supposed to launch as a separate game. It's basically a small portion of Star Citizen, but with a story and ending. I'm still not confident; waited too long for that.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I was expecting 25 minutes of gameplay. I skimmed the video, but it looks like around 5-8 minutes of cut-up gameplay, maybe another 8-10 minutes of cutscenes, and the rest looks like the “making of”. I did not see any evidence of a product that is anywhere near completion.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

10 years of development for this part of SC, correct? If so, that’s very little to show for it.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I was skimming it, but there did appear to be a couple of E3-type gameplay footage clips. I can’t say if they are new or not because I haven’t been following SC closely.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Agreed with the above, especially need to pay attention to your resolution to figure out GPU needs. To add to this, you would probably be fine with a 7800X3D, unless you really need the extra CPU cores for non-gaming related tasks.

For reference, I have a 5800X3D, 32GB RAM, 970 1TB SSD, and a 6700XT, and I’m playing 60+ FPS on high on most games at 3840x1600. Nowhere near the budget you’re looking at. That being said, AM4 socket is EOL’d, so stick with the Ryzen 7000 series if you want AMD.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Yeah that changes things a bit. What type of games do you plan on playing? 4K or not, if you’re playing eSports or strategy games, it still will be overkill. My wife’s rig is a 5800X (not 3D), and a GTX 1070, and she plays SIMS 4 and Diablo IV at 4K 60+ FPS.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Which is good for competition. Still ridiculous price though for mobile.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I understand your perspective, but the way I see it, it’s like renting a movie at home versus seeing it in a theater. For some people, the extra money to go to a theater is worth it. I’m not paying $20+ to see a movie once at home though, and especially not to see it on my phone. Discounted price for a discounted experience. If they want to charge $20 for the mobile version, and $40 for MacOS, then I’d be way more likely to try a triple-A game on a phone.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Sure, then $20 for the mobile app, and $60 for MacOS (which should include a mobile copy). That would work for me too. I don’t have a Steam Deck, but I for sure would not pay full price for a game just to play on the Steam Deck.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

What if you don’t have a Mac though, the MacOS copy is going to waste. I think Nintendo games are far too expensive as well. I own some, but I’m not happy with the price of the games (my kids love them though).

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I’m not sure why you’d have an iPhone if you don’t have a Mac

iPhones outsell MacBooks something like 10:1. The majority of people with iPhones, if they are playing games not on their phone, are using consoles and/or PC’s.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

I guess that depends. A lot of flagship phones are reaching $1k+ these days, and I rely on my phone for a TON of things. I need the support, battery life, and I enjoy the Apple ecosystem (not just my MacBook, but the watch and AirPods too). I’ve found it made sense for me. I guess the value of things really depends on the buyer’s perspective.

qwertyqwertyqwerty,

Oh, yeah. Sorry if I didn’t mention that. I have an M1 Pro. I still wouldn’t play the game on my MacBook. I have an ultra wide screen and there’s no way my Mac would run the game well. I have a gaming desktop that is much more suitable for desktop gaming.
