I tried this on my 6700XT I had to play in 720p, the performance was that bad. Any of the available upscalers just made it look worse.
I upgraded to a more modern card since then and it works fine, but if you’re on something like a 6700xt I’d be wary or prepare to refund if you don’t like the performance.
The reason the new Doom and Indiana Jones games require a card with ray tracing is a consequence of the consoles all having ray tracing and an increasing number of PC users do too.
So to support a diminishing number of PC players would require the game to be lit twice, one with RT and one with traditional methods. Obviously this costs more in development and testing and studios are increasingly deciding it’s just not worth it.
It’s got to be the biggest dividing line we’ve seen in years. I suspect things will settle down for a while, now.
I’d never heard of this brand before. Had a look at their website, wow what a pile of ugly looking crap for many x a reasonable price. The designers must be laughing the asses off coming up with this junk knowing people will buy it because of the brand.
Yeah I just watched Skill Up’s video and then was surprised to see so many positive reviews on this roundup. What gives? Are folks so keen for more Dragon Age that they turn a blind eye to such deficiencies? Or is it just a difference of opinion.
Yeah the PS5 controller is about the only innovative part of this console generation. The adaptive triggers and haptics are just great. I use one on the PC and for the games that support the extra features they really do add an extra dimension.
