Mine has just started to have problems with the steam button and the right stick not registering presses. There really aren’t alternatives and I’m devastated. Probably going to have to buy used ones off ebay if I can’t fix it.
yes, it doesn’t run plasma when it’s in big picture, it runs it in github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope along with other tweaks, so it’s lower overhead and game windows tend to behave better
it also handles updates to os as well as to steam so you don’t ever end up with an update that breaks steam, they’re always in sync
They’ve had a good native linux build for the first one, and it was one of the first games in my library to have vulkan support. I’d be surprised if it didn’t have really good linux support
