There was just dropped an update, and those come only like every six months and thus are big ones. Also next week is their anniversary I think, and they teased something is coming.
Anyway, it keeps alive that child in me who played with LEGOS, except now as an adult I get the simulation of the environment and the brutal laws of physics like gravity and energy/fuel, and logistics, automation, etc. Mods make it even more expansive and customizable.
It’s the one game I come back to over and over again through the last decade. I take breaks of course, months at a time even. But I never stop wanting to play with Space LEGOS!
You were right though. And it’s only because we were all so furious about what they were doing and raised such a fuss about it that they decided to renege on that.
Cities skylines is so fun. It’s just ramping up and will get better. The completely rebuilt the game to ensure it would stand up another decade. It will get better even though it’s already fun. Modding in 2024 will come also which will breathe more life as well. There is a nice long article in Ars Technica.
It runs on medium pretty well for me. Half the time you aren’t moving around much but staring in one spot anyway. I do kinda wish there was more music and stuff. For as long as people can play this, it gets awfully repetitive after a while. Why not the old CS music even? Just my two cents. Lots of good stuff make this game fun still.
