They moved their office to London (wonder why…) but part of the team still works from their origin in Russian St. Petersburg. And here is what I’ve found:
And this happened more than once, so that is a long-term partnership. Buyanov recorded joint videos with Dmitry “Goblin” Puchkov, a Russian translator and blogger known for his anti-Ukrainian stance. And Puchkov himself was a guest at the Battlestate Games studio.
Nikita Buyanov and his company actively partnered with companies in the Russian military-industrial complex. This group actively funds and supplies separatists, they ask for donations to supply their members who are going to fight in Ukraine, they participate in podcasts from occupied cities and Tarkov’s developers prop up their platform by including them (in no small capacity) in their game.
One of the new traders they are planning to add into the game is named “Khokhol” which is an anti-Ukrainian ethnic slur used by russians. There is also a feature in the game where you can become a character called a “Scav” when you become one you are assigned a random russian name, sometimes they are memes like “garandthumb” or “robokop” but in their depravity, there is a chance that your character can be named “Hohol” which you see when you die, or other players see when you kill them.
The developers of Escape from Tarkov, the Russian studio Battlestate Games, have published several new screenshots of the game. As Artem Lys noticed, on one of them the character shows the middle finger to the player in pixel uniform and with yellow tape on his hand, which clearly symbolizes the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They are a Russian Developer with contacts to military units who support the war in Ukraine and also mocked Ukrainian with screenshots in their game…so why expect you no shitty behavior from them?
Oh I hope the studios will find new owners, but those greedy fucks from embracer need to go down. Under their leadership those studios will only see cost reductions and they have to fear closure at all times, Embracer does not care about the creativity of it’s studios only the pricetag they can put on them.
That’s what discord is for, an easy, quick and dirty community aggregate
and thats also the reason why this project is now gone…
also you are pretty much “paying” with all you information and since they started heavily monetizing Discord you will pay even more as they soon will start to sell you conveniences or essential features. Also Tencent you know, which is pretty much like Nestlé, so it should be avoided.
Having played both, I can’t say I understand the differences here. Do you mind elaborating? I found Elisabeth a lot more helpful than Elie and to be honest, I can’t remember Elie having any impact on my gameplay off the top of my head.
Quiet the opposite for me. Keep in mind I played it on the PS3 so its been a long time ago, but I remember that the enemys blatantly ignored her, that she did not fight at all and she constantly gave you ammo or health so it made the whole game pretty easy.
Elli on the other hand was really grounded in the gameplay, the animations, she fought back and also got attacked by the enemy. I just found her much more useful and real and I remember that I was quiet shocked about Elisabeth’s basic AI in Infinite
Most people seem to like the third one, which I never understood.
The upgrade system was inferior and didn’t even change the visuals of the guns, Columbia felt more like different setpieces then a real floating city, the AI of Elisabeth was laughable compared to games like The Last of Us and the whole combat felt dumb down, even when it was faster and still little bit of fun. But it was just inferior to the two other installments.
so Bioshock in Space without the original licence or story? I think I’ll pass on this. Bioshock 1 was lightning in a bottle and an amazing game but the rest of the series was never able to reach the same heights and Infinite was really bad in my oppinion so that even the story and the scenery couldn’t save it for me.
