There are four studios whose games (and hardware) I buy almost blindly:

• Valve
• CD Project RED
• Rockstar Games
• Machine Games

They all have brought me tons of fun and jaw dropping moments.

What does that change about what I said? I don’t expect them to. I simply stated why I prefer Steam over GOG.

That would be nice, sure. I am just saying, it still wouldn’t give them a significantly better standing over Valve, in my eyes. Valve is currently kinda the Linux Gaming Savior. Hard to beat that unless they also start actively (!) doing something.

As long as GOG doesn’t invest in Wine/Proton, Valve has still the upper hand in Linux support and therefore deserve my money more.

They are all marked as Singleplayer. Is that just a mistake or did they strip out any multiplayer functionality?

Missing vehicle combat is one of the two points I listed, so “it doesn’t need to be that big because there are no vehicles” is a bad reason.

I don’t want to imply that the game called “Tribes 3” will be bad. I just think it should not be called “Tribes 3” when it is not an evolution of Tribes 2 but “only” a small subset with a different focus. “Epic scale” was one of the key elements of Tribes 1 and 2.

Tribes (2) was pretty high end back then too. We shouldn’t be taking steps back.

Are they kidding me? Their 20 and 25 year old predecessors could do 64 vs 64.

And where is vehicle combat?

Why call it even Tribes, if it only touches on the features of the previous installments?
