It’s not actually done by Bethesda though but by Virtuos Games, which have both a history of making excellent remasters and miracle ports, and remasters that were very buggy at release.
Depends on how much work they put into the graphics. Sure, if they keep UE at default settings, it’ll look like any run of the mill UE5 game. But if they cared enough to combine two engines, maybe they also cared enough to actually make UE5 look and feel more unique and more Elderscrolls-y…
Also, keeping gamebryo for logic might be a good thing to make the game feel more like the original.
Apparently UE5 only for rendering, the game logic still on the old gamebryo engine.
Because if done well, UE5 is fairly pretty and if it’s used just for graphics, maybe it won’t perform as badly either. The mixture of two engines tells me at the very least that the devs spent some amount of thought and time on the engine(s).
But yea, when it comes out and I find out it runs like crap on my 5700xt, I’ll just wait until Skyblivion is out. Not gonna be too long anyways.
Exactly. $100 is a lot of money, however games are cheaper than ever these days (adjusted for inflation) and $100 for no micro transactions sounds fair.
On the other hand, I wouldn’t buy it at that price either. I‘d wait for a sale…
Well, they haven’t so far removed denuvo from a single game, even those that have been cracked already. Ubisoft is big enough, that they might have their very own deal with Denuvo
Thanks to denuvo and there currently not being any active group capable of cracking denuvo, it’s not a guarantee the game will be cracked. Assassin‘s creed mirage took until last month, over a year after release, for a pirated copy to be available and it uses a debug executable, which may not become available for any other games or at least not in a timely manner. It might not be possible to play those games without the BS. Or on Linux, if it doesn’t run without kernel access for RAM monitoring
I also don’t care wir RDR2. The game ran well in my experience and it wasn’t getting on your nerves. You didn’t even notice, if you didn’t look for it.
Nope. I also totally missed even Black Ops 5 existing. But then again, what I’m looking for in a CoD game (good split screen offline local multiplexer with a decent selection of maps and not too much bullshit) hasn’t really been met since BO3. All newer ones are either online only (in varying degrees of awfulness, ranging from no splitscreen at all to splitscreen with two activision accounts required) and/or have a terrible split screen layout. Haven’t tried WWII though, so far, which might still be good enough (and interesting due to less bullshit than bo3, my current fav that isn’t from the 360/ps3 era)
Yea, for my dad, everything you use a controller with is a PlayStation and every handheld is a gameboy. Funnily enough, he never had either one and I also didn’t have a PlayStation until I have moved out. The only noteable difference for him is the Sega Master System, because he did have that as a child.
It‘s a very solid adaptation. Sure, it will always sit in the shadow of the game because that’s a masterpiece but if you haven’t played the game yet watched the show, you’re getting a well produced and complete package that isn’t offensive to the source material. Because that’s what happens if you let the writer/director of the source material actually guide you in creating the show.
