But honestly I don’t even know what or how much money they would have there, I guess it was used for the webpage and similar, maybe pay themselves from the Patreon… but I guess that would be gone monthly… Idk… Maybe they rented some office space??? They will declare it bankrupt and that’s the end of it…and unless they owned something with it which I doubt there isn’t much assets if any to give Nintendo or sell.

I don’t think it would been won in court by Nintendo, but it was a big risk for them which accepting this causes them 0 issues, they only lose whatever the company had and no repercussion to them personally. Of course they lost their jobs…

Nowhere? They will be bankrupt and shutdown the LLC. Whatever their LLC accounts has will go to Nintendo, and any other asset the same. But I doubt they had pretty much anything, maybe the latest Patreon payment and maybe some extra money to pay websites and maybe any office or similar if they rented anything.

Idk…I don’t find it that much frustrating, yeah a couple of times here and there you might make a mess but it feels still relaxing. Of course power wash is more relaxing as you cannot make a mess or get irritated by anything, well sometimes to put the damn stairs and reach up.

It’s a pretty good guess tbh… At worst is October or similar but I expect later on the year but earlier enough so it’s before the holidays but after they showed demos and games in summer conferences.

If I have to listen close-ish then they don’t stick out or they do very little so sounds good enough to me. Let again we don’t need exact replicas for gaming.

Plus probably lot of usage would be to pregenerate stuff not realtime so they can fix specific cases where it sounds weird by editing or similar.

It was part of the Humble Bundle for Android 3. So if you have that or somebody has that they can give you the APK. That said it didn’t have DRM so I expect the APK to be around if you want to pirate it.

The issue here would be that it might not be compatible withe current Android versions or Phones.

It’s not exactly that, yes they want to get fees/rent that I agree, but this at least the current idea is not a walled garden, devs can decide not put it in there, or put it there but free. Of course if that changes in the future, and that might be the plan, then that’s another topic.

Every mod I’ve seen and every modder I’ve talked to has a donation link you can send money to, and the ones who didn’t had organizations and charities you could send your money to instead.

Yeah but they cannot enforce it or totally make it a paid mod. A Bethesda implementation would be more enforceable, well maybe not so much on PC, due to piracy… but at least on consoles. So if somebody said, look this is good content I am not giving it for free, they cannot currently do, (in part maybe due to EULAs too… not sure, but not just that).

But do they need to for the copyright case? Aren’t most pages on internet, like “Here is where you can sent us a DCMA request, we will take it down after checking it”.

Then they don’t need to vet it until there is a request, still that is work not gonna lie but they don’t have to check every single upload stuff, plus they probably would have a report system or similar if the issue isn’t copyright but idk that somebody uploaded something illegal somehow.

Of course maybe I am missing something and there is some laws that require active monitoring of each uploaded stuff.

Yeah the dates thing is an issue but it is because they take the Steam release of the game. That and they take from the last award to the next one not a calendar year. So RD2 was a 2020 game awards on Steam.

But yeah it feels weird I agree.

The most supported one I understand but the idea is to not have the same game every year even if it has been supported plenty otherwise Terraria would still be there…

The Witcher case I do not know… But the issue there is like any public voted stuff people don’t always vote based on category but they vote what they like. Or maybe they only played that game of the category so they vote that one etc… Some places might play with the numbers around behind the curtains and choose another one if it doesn’t make sense… but that also doesn’t feel right.

And it is somehow moddable, like people created plugins for the UI. I hope someone ends up adding alternative stores directly there and not just steam. But in any case you can install the respective apps and so on.

    I agree that it was better than others. With others you find it after you bought it because they hope for some people will accept it and just don’t refund and wait for update so they get the money already.

    But still… if you know is bad… just continue working on it. The only exception to that is if you are a small company or indie that doesn’t have money and needs that money now.

    Sometimes I wish the updates somehow were super expensive to deliver that they end up being forced to do the minimal updates and keep stuff working from the beginning

    It does results in bans of course but they sadly don’t catch up with cheaters fast enough… Or in some cases is difficult to catch on without the crazy anticheats we have seen complains about.

    The security was shit on some editions. There was one,that you could close the prompt for CD key in a way and just play online with a pirated copy.

    Plus idk I haven’t played a lot but to me single player against the machines was enjoyable, well tl be fair I didn’t have much people to play with plus I am terrible at it so maybe that’s why.

    Does anybody know if it’s the same cause as when on a car? Like I have yet to get into buying VR but I never get nausea on a car looking at phone inside/outside doesn’t matter. Just trying to see if I might be affected.
