I keep seeing aa lot of neat things about Kenshi, but when I tried it out I felt completely lost and lost interest before I really figured anything out.
I don’t like when games baby you, but I do like a little hand-holding to get me started.
Maybe I’m just a big dum and turned off the tutorial/tips/skipped something I shouldn’t have? Not sure but your comment definitely makes me want to give it another go when I have a couple of days free.
I haven’t played a live service game since Destiny 2 decided to completely remove all the shit I paid for, then lock everything new behind even more pay walls.
I’ve been playing dozens of games since then. It’s not hard to find games that aren’t live service and likely won’t be touched outside of stability and a couple QoL things here and there.
I’m all for laws requiring all games to be playable offline, and without any sort of bullshit “online activation”. I paid for a game, I want to play the game without having to download shit first. I want to play the game whether my hanky-ass internet connection is stable or even nonexistent today. I want to be able to use the thing I paid for without having to jump through extra hoops, no matter how large or “on the ground” the hoop is. It’s still a hoop.
I do enjoy builders and management games, so I was hoping it had improved.
I’ve got my fingers crossed that they pull a No Man’s Sky and actually strive to make a playable game, but the longer it takes, the less likely it seems.
That could mean that the already content players are still happy with their game, and the vocal haters don’t have enough to hate on that doesn’t sound petty.
I say that as someone who has not played CS2 and plays 1 heavily modded… So the fuck do I know
