There are some great paid mobile games too though.

I’ve played nothing on my phone but bloons td6 for a year or so now, cost £6 and I’m nowhere close to maximising the content available.

Then you have shorter (but brilliant) games like the room series, monument valley, machinarium.

Not all are F2P microtransaction excuses with an ad every 30seconds. But I totally sympathise with the frustration and don’t play F2P mobile any more either.

Not exactly a minor indie game by any means, but bloons td6 is the game I’ve player the most on mobile by some distance. It’s £6 with no microtransactions and a shit load of content. If you like TD games this is a home run.

I was a huge fan of oblivion and I remember staying up into the early hours at uni waiting for the crack to be released. I put 16 hours in on the first day and never really looked back.

Currently wrestling with whether or not I can justify spending £800 on my pc to play starfield…

My graphics card isn’t horrible actually to be fair. I’ve got an RTX 2070 but it’s on a 10 year old AM3 motherboard with DDR3 in it so it’s time to replace cpu/mobo/ram.

At the moment it’s not playable for me, I forced myself to play the first few hours but speech visual lags behind the audio and I’m stuck waiting for 10seconds with every sentence. I know loading screens aren’t great for anyone but a solid minute for each screen wasn’t doable either.

As was origins honestly. Brotherhood is definitely my favourite and the later games feel more generic than true AC games, but they’re still good fun.

Because what does it even matter? We should be encouraging women’s football to continue to grow, part of that is making sure it’s fun to play in games as well as competitive on the pitch.

It’s come so far in recent years, and when we’re talking about a game which is designed primarily for fun, being unhappy that women’s stats aren’t an apples and apples comparison to the men’s stats is just silly.

It says that you have an issue with the women’s game being treated in the same way as the men’s game. Video games are designed for fun, not for simulation, and there are plenty of good reasons to have women be comparable with men in a computer game.

You’d have been upset when Tony hawk games had women skaters that could ollie as high as the men too huh? Or got upset when Chun Li won in street fighter games?

And that’s completely fine too. But plenty enjoy and support it anyway, it’s working pretty well for them so far whether that pleases you or not.

Very closed minded way to live… It’s very possible to agree with someone on one point and still think they’re a pos when it comes to other points.

I know you think you’re making a relevant point, but really you just look like a 10 year old who struggles putting 2 and 2 together.

This has nothing to do with skyrim modding, and everything to do with your perception of a group of people who don’t deserve your hate.

Do you understand irony? Irony is including 8 emojis in a post defending yourself from being called a 10 year old.

Someone insulting you in a response which (by your definition) was only posted to insult you is just logical. Where’s the irony?

The analogy is the post mate, but how would you know if it stayed blue…?

Ahhhh it’s weirdly beautiful mate. This whole exchange is like one big illustration on irony and (ironically) you end your point by illustrating just how little you understood my posts.

It really is satisfying. But if you want to teach me something and show me why it would be ironic to insult you in a post which was designed specifically to insult you then I’m all ears :) x

The analogy is that someone insulting people trying their hardest while doing nothing of importance themselves are worse than the supposed injustice they point out in the first place.

In this scenario, the volunteer modders are the paralympians, and you’re the douchebag criticising them for contributing something to the world despite having nothing productive to show themself.

Exactly, literally a hobby and not a job, people contributing time they absolutely don’t need to in order to create something for others to enjoy.

And you’re criticising them because they’re taking too long. Taking too long with their unpaid voluntary work for a product lots of people will enjoy.

It’s not simple criticism though is it mate? It’s criticising people who are contributing to the world while offering nothing yourself. That’s the whole point which has already been pretty clearly explained.

If we take it back to your original comment you’re literally criticising the amount of free work someone chooses to do. I’d hoped you might see the analogy but it seems like we’re past that point so let’s call it a day.

Good luck though mate, maybe think about it a bit more when you don’t feel like it’s a battle with an anonymous Internet person and can look more objectively at the points made :) x
