Fair enough.

I’ll have to take a look at GoG anyway… I don’t remember but I heard it’s like an aggregator of some sort too, right? Like, you can access games from your steam account too or something?

Edit: Bruh this is dope.

ElPussyKangaroo,

Edit 2: (replied because I got some error when editing comment a second time…)

Okay nevermind. Thought it was too good to be true… why open with an in-app browser?

ElPussyKangaroo,

Hmm…

I have never used a launcher before (for obvious reasons as mentioned in my post), so I found the idea of a separate launcher dumb in the first place. I have used it in recent times thanks to Epic’s free games. Finished two of the Tomb Raider trilogy.

Like, I’m fine with a store, but I gotta open the launcher to launch the game? On Windows, with the Tile based Start Menu, I kind of thought it was a terrible idea NGL. I gotta open, wait for it to load, open the library, then click to run, THEN it’ll open…

Plus, if I want to track progress, it’s a hassle because I can’t track without the damn launcher…

ElPussyKangaroo,

No. You can claim it for free for the next 24hrs

ElPussyKangaroo,

What is up with new games? I have a Predator Triton 300; i7 9th Gen, 16GB/512GB. All games get installed on the SSD instead of the HDD.

I played the new Tomb Raider trilogy (still playing the last one, no spoilers) and it ran smoothly on Medium (some unnecessary stuff turned off) most of the times.

Tried playing new game called Deliver us Mars, disaster. It stutters every. Fucking. Time. ON LOW! What the Fuck?

ElPussyKangaroo,

💀

ElPussyKangaroo,

I see… But why the dependency on vram?

Also, regarding the graphics: Tomb Raider is a huge game with large maps and heavy graphics. Ran fine.

Deliver us Mars is an Unreal Engine game made by a relatively small studio.

I feel like Unreal is to blame for this… Idk if I’m right tho.

ElPussyKangaroo,

Deliver us Mars is barely anything compared to Tomb Raider. I’m honestly shocked that TR ran smoothly on my device.

ElPussyKangaroo,

Damn. You just can’t win, can you? 😞

ElPussyKangaroo,

It’s kinda sad that all the in-house engines are being abandoned… Especially since Unreal is a one-size-fits-all engine. It’s not suitable for all games if optimised gameplay is an expectation…

Also, yes. I didn’t understand initially when I heard about the Unreal look, but goddamn I see it everywhere now…

ElPussyKangaroo,

Can I upvote this two more times please?

Fan Ports PlayStation Classic [WipeOut], Dares Sony To Shut Him Down And Make Its Own (kotaku.com) angielski

WipeOut was Sony’s initial first-party exclusive for the original PlayStation when it launched back in 1995. The anti-gravity racing game was phenomenal. Now it’s abandoned. So one dedicated programmer took it upon himself to excavate the game’s leaked source code and make it playable for free in any web browser....

ElPussyKangaroo,

Why can’t we get a law going that if you stop supporting some software product, game or otherwise, you should open source it and hand over control to the public?
