The art looks so much improved here. I just hope the puzzles are more than just ricochet tests; CrossCode got old because it was so overdependent on shot angles for its puzzles. You’re not alone in having not finished it. I had to resort to watching a no-commentary longplay.
the only viable option, assuming you’re not already independently wealthy, is that you have to work another job to work on the game in the meantime, which means it will take even longer to come out.
I’m guessing maybe you don’t like detective games in which you have to uncover the plot yourself. I suppose it’s all about the method of presentation for me.

FYI, you can learn bits and pieces about Slay’s lore through the various events that come up. A pretty large chunk of lore comes up upon one particular respawn/new run.
