It has nothing to do with attention span. If I wanna read a novel I’ll sit down and do so, if I sit down to play a game i want to play a game. Your argument would be like Christopher Nolan releasing a film with no pictures, just words on screen you read, I’d be mad and others would say it’s a masterpiece. But it has nothing to do with me liking to read or not. If you think about it DE is a video game equivalent to a Nolan movie, some will say it’s a masterpiece, others like me will say it’s pretentious, boring crap
I have the same issue with those telltale games where you just click a choice and watch a giant cutscene.
If I wanted to read that much I’d reread the Stephen king dark tower series. I just couldn’t get past all the dialogue and reading, that’s not why I play video games
Unpopular opinion, I played Elden ring for close to 10 hours and hated it. Ugly game, saw nothing but barren wastelands, got extremely annoyed with the style of fighting and the repetitiveness. I think it’s by far one of the worst games I’ve ever played
Horizon 1 was excellent, part 2 was too much. Kinda like Jedi survivor, we went from a somewhat small game to one 10x the size. I couldn’t even finish it
I saw the trailer for that game and laughed my ass off, i legit thought it was a horizon DLC and when I realized it wasn’t, I couldn’t get past the obvious fact that it’s a straight ripoff that barely changed anything
You bring up i played goldeneye first and that’s true, it’s why I wanted a sequel. It’s also why I will always pick Wcw vs Nwo : revenge, over wwf no mercy, it has a better nostalgia factor for me
Good game, and I liked the revolutionary bots you could add to multiplayer to beef up a death match. I like the game but the characters and story never did anything for me
I’m sorry but perfect dark will always just be “that game that got made cause Rare couldn’t make a sequel to goldeneye” it was a good game but didn’t age super well and the character and world just seems a bit cheese for 2025
