This is where the argument that piracy is also preserving games stands up. Although, it begs the question why games developers do not properly archive their software.

What is your EDC (Every Day Carry) for pirating? You can be as specific or as general as you want....

Even the developer cannot be bothered to release physical copies or pretend to sell them as blank disk copies.

This is a lightweight alternative for Goldberg for the single purpose of unlocking DLCs. Just rename the game’s steam_api.dll to steam_api.orig.dll, download steam_api.dll from releases and put it in place of the original steam_api.dll, the game will keep interacting with Steam as usual but it will consider all DLCs installed....
