The German electricity mix is currently cleaner than ever, but there is no connection with the nuclear phase-out. In fact, it is at least not improbable that we would use even less fossil fuels if we had produced nuclear power ourselves. Across Europe, the generation of renewable energies has also increased by 34 terawatt hours, so German import volumes are becoming cleaner on average.
