And this is the company wallstreetbets wanted so bad to defend. It should have died. It DESERVED to die but Reddit wanted it alive because if there’s anything Reddit hates more, it is short sellers. But the reality is that most of the time the companies that get taken down by short selling aren’t healthy to begin with. After all, why push a strong company off the cliff when you can push a weak one that is overvalued?
We need to construct an economy that does not reward such behavior in the first place. If you incentivize bad behavior and punish the good, the fact that people go with the flow isnt really the problem. The problem is that we reward bad behavior and punish the good then chastize people for not sacrificing their own interests to swim against the current.

Microsoft is a trillion dollar company. Unfortunately I doubt any country is going to meaningfully harm them over accounts like this. (I am one of the people that cant migrate because the email I had associated with it is gone and the game was gifted to me so long ago that I wouldn’t be able to easily prove it was mine)
Most “normal” gamers dont care about the same things gamers that are more invested in the hobby do. I.e by and large, the “average” gamer isn’t voting with their wallets against the enshittening of the industry.

It does not matter how extensive the lore, character design and world building is if the fucking game runs like shit and crashes. The game being in a playable state is the bare minimum.

They should but its Bethesda. A company that misread the room thinking people making memes about how unoptimized their games are meant fans thought it was endearing rather than something deserving of mockery.
