knokelmaat,

This is wonderful.

But how is it possible that you didn’t respond to the DOOM discussion?!

knokelmaat,

I also recommend Metal Gear Solid 1, it’s a fantastic game and it works well on PSP!

knokelmaat,

I adore anything LEGO related. As a kid I spent hours playing LEGO Rock Raiders and LEGO Football Mania. Later on I played countless of afternoons with a friend in LEGO Star Wars.

Recently I played LEGO Builder’s Journey and it blew me away. It is the most realistic rendition in games of how it actually feels to play with LEGO bricks. It looks gorgeous and I really liked the chill vibe and cute story.

I’ve recently been enjoying LEGO Fortnite with my friends. Again, my inner child just becomes insanely happy once I can start building stuff and hear the clicks of the LEGO bricks joining together.

knokelmaat,

For your last question: BioMedia Project, they have almost everything!

knokelmaat,

If you have time and patience to get it working:

knokelmaat,

The original DOOM is very special to me as it helped me get out of a very dark time. I went to therapy and got a lot of support on various fronts, but still needed something to take my mind of the pain. Something about the pure and basic gameplay just clicked: the only thing I had to do was run and shoot. The maps were complex enough to keep my mind busy and I still remember it very fondly and am grateful to this day.

Also loved DOOM 2, quite liked 3, and am currently adoring 2016.

knokelmaat,

Of course it is, everything related is fine ;).

knokelmaat,

Wow yo have quite a poetic bone in your body! <3

knokelmaat,

My favorite is Metal Gear Solid (PS1 version). This game is just groundbreaking in so many ways, and the story is just so earnest and campy. There are some incredibly emotional moments and the final battle on top of the Metal Gear is absolutely insane.

knokelmaat,

Our opinions match up almost perfectly! I adore MGS1 so much. The amount of incredible moments in that game is just staggering. My personal favorite is the death of Sniper Wolf and the fight on top of the Metal Gear + the ending!

knokelmaat,

Ironclad is my first and still my favorite class, strength scaling is just so satisfying when even your strikes start to do insane damage. I also love entrench to get very high block and then body slam to turn that into damage :).

Completed all characters on A20 with heart kills.

knokelmaat,

I found it one of the only ones that did click for me, because all effects are explained on the screen itself (or behind a hover). So I was glad I didn’t need to remember every mechanic to get started with the game.

But I totally understand you, I’ve also bounced of certain well regarded games.

knokelmaat,

Ok I’ll try it out soon! Thanks for the recommendation.

knokelmaat,

Haha the same, thanks to my deck it became over half of my total steam game time :D

knokelmaat,

Hey, games are supposed to be fun. So if you’re able to modify it in a way that makes it more enjoyable to you than that is 100% valid!

I’ll check out downfall!

knokelmaat,

You can totally do act 4, I believe in you! Just make sure to remove weak cards (strikes) whenever you can. And try to get enough card draw (an upgraded Pommel Strike does damage and draws 2 cards for example).

knokelmaat,

I was hoping to get some conversation going and it seems to have worked out well! I would love to help out / keep posting these kinds of things regularly. People could dm possible candidates for the next post or put them at the end of their comments. I’m also interested to do this for games that I know are popular but that I don’t play, always fun to hear people being passionate about stuff :).

knokelmaat,

I played it for about 400 hours on deck. I never play games for longer than 60h :D

knokelmaat,

Could you elaborate? I love me some good puzzle games. Some recommendations:

English Country Tune Stephen’s Sausage Roll Recursed Toki Tori The Witness

knokelmaat,

Is it underrated? I remember playing the game because of all the positive things I kept hearing about it. I loved it too, it has some really amazing scenes that stuck with me to this day. I just thought that this was the common opinion.

knokelmaat,

I honestly didn’t know that it did bad on release, that certainly merits the name underrated!

knokelmaat,

I loved his first 2 books, so looking forward to this one!

knokelmaat,

Always ready to bump my favorite game of all time, but honestly I feel this is quite a popular opinion (compared to some of the games in OP’s list that are really overlooked on these discussions of best games ever).

But still, what an incredible experience, the OST for outer Wilds was my fourth most listened to on last year’s Spotify Wrapped :)

Thanks for reminding me!

Ghost of Tsushima's DLC Iki Island is the best part of the game

Hello all! I have played Ghost of Tsushima last year, and while I thought the visuals were stunning and the gameplay and atmosphere were tremendous, the game felt a bit too long and repetitive for me. The story was nice, but due to the slow pace it didn’t have the emotional impact it might have gotten if the game was a bit...

knokelmaat,

Honestly, I fixed this for myself by seeing each Act as a separate game (and DLC as game 4) and playing other games for a while after “finishing” each one. This way it feels fresh again :)

Knokelmaat's Top 10 Patient Games of the Year 2023 angielski

Outer Wilds. I played this game through PS Plus, and it is the best game I have ever played in my life. The gameplay, the puzzles, the music (!!!), the characters, the story, the ending. Just a masterpiece. I’m not even sure if it was this year or last year that I finished it, but the soundtrack was number 4 in my Spotify...

knokelmaat,

Holy shit I didn’t know that was one of the anouncements! Pony Island was so good, perfect length and amazingly immersive story wise. Inscription I really liked too but somehow I fell off after a few hours, still gathering dust on my PS5.

knokelmaat,

Last Sentinel had a really cool visual style (the half faced android mother thing got my attention).

Kojima’s scary shenanigans looked interesting too :)

knokelmaat,

I find 10$ a very decent value, far from greedy to be honest. This is not the same as TLOU part 1 where you had to pay full price even if you already had a previous version.

knokelmaat,

You are still able to play the PS4 version on your PS5, so no you’re not paying 10 dollars for a game you already own.

You’re paying 10 dollars for Dualsense rumble support, extra roguelike mode and lots of other PS5 specific updates like support for fast loading.

knokelmaat,

The early Arkham games are quite unique and important games I feel.

knokelmaat,

I think he just really loves this game? The game is at 87 open critic rating, overwhelmingly positive (96) on Steam. This game is just genuinely adored by a lot of people.

knokelmaat,

I’ve heard a lot of good things about the evil within and it’s sequel, looking forward to trying it out!

knokelmaat,

Maybe I should have changed the title of the post to something different from the one of the article. I see a lot of people responding to the title but there is a lot of stuff in the article that I find quite interesting (the lack of new first party exclusives, focus on cloud gaming).

knokelmaat,

Gonna read this later, but already thanking you for posting this! Random super interesting gaming deep dives is one of my favorite things to stubble upon in my feeds. So thank you so much!!!

knokelmaat,

Demon’s Souls is the first souls game that I have ever completed, I think it is an astounding part of the ps5 catalogue. Also, currently going through Ghost of Tsushima PS5 edition and at 4k60 that game is incredible.

Those are 2 experiences that I loved that are only available on PS5.
