Oh but it is very very fun. Addicting even. Full time job and business owner and in the last 5 weeks I’ve logged 125hrs.

I have 125hrs and it’s amazing fun, has a high skill ceiling, isn’t an overwatch clone or anything remotely like that game.

It’s a moba first third person shooter second. Basically dota with guns, or (a better) smite with a y axis (flying around, climbing, high spots, low spots) and guns.

I have a lot of dota experience too and a lot of the abilities and stuff carry over.

Domt worry about being bad if you’re having fun stick with it and you’ll improve.

You must be in low elo, high tier matches are 25-35 min long, I haven’t played a match over 37minute in weeks.

Lower elo players have been complaining about long games because a lot of new moba players aren’t playing objectives

The game was called citadel and was half life themed, they dropped that for neon prime and made it Sci fi, they then dropped that aesthetic changed the name to deadlock and went to a supernatural early to mid 1900s NYC noir aesthetic. A lot of the files still use the citadel name, but it’s just leftover and means nothing anymore.

125hrs in the game over the last 6 weeks, it’s great.

Half life, if you really can’t get into it check out black mesa but please try the original first it is amazing and was truly ground breaking. Then play the portal games because they expand on eachother.

Cyberpunk had a good story and characters, and basis for a game it just was rushed lut the door unfinished. They actually care about making No Man’s Sky better and delivering on their initial promise, then surpassing it when they initially failed and let everyone down. Bethesda doesn’t care. They just want money. They aren’t going to even consider making starfield a good game unless They add an atom shop first and stuff to spend the money on

I’m at least an average intelligence guy, not a genius, but I’m not some compelete idiot. Big game companies treat me like an absolute dumb ass so I don’t bother with their trash (the games are almost always mediocre anyway full of MTX). Just sell me a full working product at a fair price and then charge me for an expansion down the road if you want. Don’t nickel and dime me or promise me.shit I know you can’t deliver. Not to be a contrarian, the game is good, but I seriously don’t understand how it’s one of the best games ever made. Just my opinion no one asked for, but I know I can’t be alone. Only other game I can think that’s more overhyped is breath of the wild.

You’re not necessarily wrong but maybe you kind of are. I’ll explain, I played the other baldur gate games in the 90s (I still have the old school big box BG2 collectors edition), im not young or new to this style game. It’s not my favorite genre but I DO enjoy it. I played DOS2 in 2019 and loved it, baldurs gate was just over hyped after hearing everyones praise and llaying those other games i expected more. Its obviously keaps ahead of BG2 but thats an OLD game at this point… and man too many people love cod even tho it’s what I’d consider objectively not good, unlike BG3 which is an objectively good game (but over rated).

Another game I’ve played a bit of but can’t understand why it’s so successful is helldivers 2. I Def need to try it some more and see if it clicks, but it’s kind of… empty and repetitive, like cod.

I recently got Alan wake 2 on EGS because I’m a huge Remedy head and huge fan of the first game and couldn’t contain my excitement to wait for a steam release and potentially see spoilers, and damn dude that store really is the most bare bones half assed thing ever. Even EAs store on their launcher is nicer.

Alan Wake 2 was a great game at least.

Playing Alan wake 2 right now and all the remedy stuff is fantastic too, but Alan wake 2 is their magnum opus. Also dota, but I don’t play any more for mental health reasons 😅

WoW is just pointless errands now. It’s so bad. All the things that made if fun have been removed or minimized. I don’t think I’ll ever return to it after Dragonflight. I’d rather wash my sink full of dishes than do another pointless grind. Vanilla wow back in the day was something truly special. It’s gone now, it won’t be back but I’m lucky I got to experience it before it soured.

Personally I think Bethesdas approach to their game design is EXTREMELY dated and frustrating. Also they made Fallout 76, one of the most dog shit games I ever played.

They need some new talent making decisions on their games to make them more modern. The problems they have in their games should be inexcusable from a “AAA” studio in 2023.

They really turned Cyberpunk around it’s so fun. I played maybe an hour of it on launch and was like “what is this shit”, started playing with 2.0 and the story is cool, the characters are rad, the game is beautiful, combat is fun (enemies a bit too spongey for me but not awful, better combat than witcher 3).

Same got it free with my 7800x3d, played it for 15 minutes saw it ran like dog shit even on that CPU with a RTX 4090 and said fuck this.
