I’ll never forget the first time I played nfl 2k for the dreamcast. I literally thought I had accidentally changed the channel to real football. The last football game I played was 2d - madden on the genesis. This was such a leap forward I had trouble believing it.

You look at it now, and it’s hysterically blocky, but in context, MAN, was it impressive.

It doesn’t quite fit, but there are a lot of boardgame phone adaptions, and they rarely have microtransactions. Cat lady, carcassonne, ghanz schoan clever, doppelt so clever, hex roller, rail road ink and roll player are some of my favorites

I’ve been waiting for a game that will be worth it, that I can only play on a new console, and so far I haven’t seen one. I’m closer to upgrading my graphics card than getting a new console at this point.
