Mesophar,

I’ll only support this if I can pre-order it for double the price, and have an option at launch to pay an additional $50 to make the butt sprites into dickbutt instead

Mesophar,

Jokes on you, I always used the safety strap on the Wiiz even if I was just in the menu. My neurodivergent ass brain wouldn’t let me hold the controllers without having the strap on

Mesophar,

Happy to see The Forever War on the list! One of my all-time favorites, and one of the works I’d consider foundational in my childhood.

Mesophar,

Yes, the trophy was security’s fault because it was from excessive force. He was already restrained! I’m not saying the guy wasn’t in the wrong for climbing on stage, but people climb on stages all the time without security breaking the centerpiece of the event while apprehending them.

What games do you recommend for my girlfriend? angielski

My girlfriend has never really gamed. But she’s now forced to move less than she would like to (health problem) and she’s getting bored. I was thinking of introducing her to a game or two that we could play together. She’s not the real action game type, and seeing as she has no experience with controller/mouse and keyboard...

Mesophar,

I’m really surprised I haven’t seen them mentioned here (and apologies if someone did suggest it and I missed it!).

The Monkey Island games. Super simple controls, as most of it is point and click. Not expensive to get into, so no big loss if it ends up not being her thing. They are silly and clever, and reward the player for being silly and clever. They are puzzle games that require some attention to detail and curiosity to solve, but there isn’t any “fail” condition. You just don’t progress if you can’t solve the puzzle. It doesn’t assume any prior game knowledge or habits; a lot of games will expect the player to be familiar with certain controls or tropes commonly used in games, but Monkey Island is more similar to a “choose your own adventure” style story.

Printable Walkthroughs

Hello everyone, I remember the times of walkthrough guides being used for older games and was wondering if there is a central area for game walkthroughs for both newer games and older games through late 90s and early 2000s. There are official game guides which I may get, but fan guides would be cool as well....

Mesophar,

I don’t know of any single site where different game guides are aggregated, at least not the same way they were in the 90s/00s. Most games tend to use their own Wiki/Fandom sites for that sort of thing now.

Gamefaqs might be worth checking out, as well.

You’ll probably end up needing to print several different pages and aggregate them together to get a single, offline guide for a game, but certainly possible with prep time.
