I got mine way back when they were discounted to $5 bucks. I used it like once and wasn’t a fan. Plus, back then, I didn’t really play too many pc games. Funny enough, my friend texted me a few days ago and told me the controllers are becoming goldmines online now selling for $150-$200. It makes me want to find mine and sell it. I even have the box it came in still somewhere.
What are you going to do after all this is over, and it’s either even harder to get or just completely gone? Im sorry you have to go through any of this…
I just looked it up. I’m not sure how I missed this one, but i guess im not missing much. Sad because the trailer looked OK and the team behind it should have at least made an average game. I guess I’ll read up on what makes it so bad now.
I’ll never understand the hate for doing this. To me, it makes perfect sense as to why you would not release the game on PC at the same time. If you don’t have people buying your system, then you’re done. Xbox is going through this now. It seems almost guaranteed they give up on developing systems and pivot exclusively to PC someday. I’ll be shocked if that handheld system they are about to release takes off.
Keep the exclusives and timed releases. If I really want to play it, I’ll buy the system or wait, it’s not a big deal.
I don’t dislike what I saw. Personally, I just think they are already too late to enter the market and be a big success. We just saw the numbers that Linux is killing it in almost all categories on the Legion compared to a windows OS, which is pretty bad news to have less than a month before showcasing this. It’s not like the Xbox brand is doing that wonderful these days, either. I think it will sell but not do as good as expected, and they will move on or completely give up. From what I hear, Xbox in general, is barely holding on these days. I love what gamepass did, but that may be all that remains if they can’t sell more hardware.
If I had to pick any 1 device that’s either out now or soon to be out, I am definitely not picking this one. I will also be sad if they fail since we all know the competition is what keeps things from getting stagnant and also keep prices down.
It’s officially the era of the handheld. There’s going to be so many failures… nobody is going to buy all these different options, 1 or 2 will succeed, and the others will fade out once they realize the numbers will never be what they expected.
When i was younger and only a few years into my career, I and a coworker talked crap about our 2 bosses for a while over Google chat. It’s what we were asked to use back them internally, but it wasn’t even our work accounts. We only talked because they were being absolutely awful. Well, joke was on us when they got suspicious and searched our computers and found the chats were locally saved… Oops! They gave us another chance shockingly but did chew us out. I’m still at this place, but none of those people exist here anymore and that was super long ago.
Not even, it’s a tech demo and has nothing to do with the game outside the assets used. That village will most likely not exist in the final product. I still think it looks fantastic and can’t wait to see more. I would hope this means they are close to releasing something later this year and maybe even get a release date.
Hey Baldur’s Gate 3 only came out 2 years ago! I know what you mean though. It’s rare when you play something that feels effortless and you want to keep playing it because it’s that good. This game definitely had that! I luckily saw the trailer last fall and fell for it then. I didn’t want to get my hopes up with how things are these days but I gave it a shot and was my first day one release game in over a year I think. Took the day off and I was soo happy I did.
Thanks! What makes it so bad? Doesn’t run well? I would absolutely like to try it if it means no monthly payment, and it’s basically the same game. I just wanted to see it and mess around for a few hours.
I remember that as well. You absolutely needed to be in a complete party just to tackle regular areas. I saw in the notes they have been focusing on allowing single player runs work better since I’m sure finding a party is probably close to impossible these days.
I kind of want to dive in for a month just to see if I remember anything about it. I played it on PC back when it dropped in 2003, so 22 years ago. It was the first MMO I really got into and so I would love to see if I remember the world at all if I set it up today.
