If it’s true to the original, I see no reason not to play the new one instead. As someone who played everything just by being able to grow up in the perfect time to experience it all, I can honestly say it’s hard at my age to go back sometimes without the quality of life updates. I just don’t have the time or care anymore to be able to, sadly.
It’s been about 20 years since the last time I picked it up, so I hope to play this one someday soon as well.
I was a kid when this was in blockbuster, and I remember playing it in the store using the demo setup. I was glad to have tried it, but I was good after that, lol.
FF11 followed by Guild Wars. I would probably have many more if I didn’t get old and more responsibilities. When those came out, I was still living at my parents’ home for a few more years. I remember playing all night, and my parents got up and got ready for work, and I would go to bed just to avoid the shame and immediately go back on when they left.
Some weird views in the article. Like comparing it to the price of the ps5 pro and will be lower. Of course it will be. It has to be since the price point of the average consumer will never buy it at that price. They need to get it back down to the $400-$500 range for it to work. Also saying the ps4 cutback on hardware compared to the ps3 may be true but it wasnt noticeable either. The jump between both consoles was huge and didnt seem like anything was sacrificed. That won’t be the case here since i doubt anyone will even notice the difference because games aren’t getting that much better looking anymore. They need to start focusing on features and other advantages to establish itself as a better option to having a PC.
This sounds fantastic. I’ll have to try it out. Years ago, I tried using hyperspin, but found it to be a lot of work and eventually gave up. This looks to be much simpler, which is exactly what I wanted.
I played through it when they released this version, and honestly its an insane amount of free content. I completed the base game but never did complete the 100 quest wall that was in the first expansion. I had a lot of fun, and I agree this is the perfect MMO to pick up. I probably had about 3 months of time spent in it and was not disappointed.
Is there any true way to block it? Does the crawler literally use the same access (443) as us to scrape content? If so, the only other thing I can think of is to block all known IP’s that AI crap originates from, but that sounds daunting and impossible to catch everything.
I don’t blame them, I also think the pay wall stops AI from stealing everything as well. I just wish they had a $5 tier. It seemed to be one of the big comments on the video, and I agree with it. Sure its less, but I would imagine the extra people gained from that tier would certainly help since its lost money at the moment.
I got mine way back when they were discounted to $5 bucks. I used it like once and wasn’t a fan. Plus, back then, I didn’t really play too many pc games. Funny enough, my friend texted me a few days ago and told me the controllers are becoming goldmines online now selling for $150-$200. It makes me want to find mine and sell it. I even have the box it came in still somewhere.
