Frogster8,

Must be the most pointless thing in the world, and terrible for the environment, have everyone travel in separate cars to work in the exact same way as they could at home.

Add in the fact there’s always 1 person not there or with a client/customer based elsewhere, so all your calls and meetings are still done through video.

Frogster8,

Not feasible or possible everywhere, I certainly couldn’t commute by public transport where I live it’d take double the time, my point wasn’t directed at this specific case but the force to offices in general and there’s no doubt huge amounts of people are using cars.

Frogster8,

You seem to be making up arguments then ignoring them, really odd

Frogster8,

S… S… S… Ilk… S…

Also it’s 2pm for UK

Frogster8,

We’re reaching out with some important updates on Update 34 “Clean Cut” on mobile, Update 35 “The End is Near” on PC/Consoles, and an important announcement regarding Dead Cells’ future.

First off, Update 34 is set to arrive on mobile later this year - sorry about the wait. Our initial plan was to release it alongside Update 35, but as things unfolded, we had to adjust our timeline to get everything where we wanted it to be.

Speaking of Update 35, your patience and enthusiasm since its alpha release have been awesome. We really wanted to bring this update to you quickly, but it turns out we can’t release it just yet. We are all hands on deck trying to figure this out, so please look out for more updates in the future.

Update 35 for Dead Cells marks the end of our creative journey on the game. After an incredible 5-year collaboration in bringing additional content to Dead Cells’ live-ops, Evil Empire will be pursuing new adventures and we can’t wait to see what they come up next. This comes after much reflection, especially following the awesome success of the “Return to Castlevania” DLC last year. Our commitment to avoiding the “more of the same” trap and keeping Dead Cells fresh and original has led us to this point; as we’ve seen with other long-running series, it’s crucial not to overextend and risk diminishing the unique charm that makes Dead Cells special to us all. This change explains the recent quiet period on updates, as concluding such a partnership required careful planning to ensure a smooth process for everyone, including the community. As always, we will of course continue to find solutions to make sure that all quality of life issues and bugs are properly fixed across all platforms to provide a worthy experience to all of you.

Frogster8,

I audibly gasped at seeing this, I think it’s the best game I’ve ever played, I really do

Frogster8,

I’d disagree tbh, so far most of the decisions seem pretty clear cut

e.g save village vs side with hoblinss goblins to kill everyone (vague enough to not be spoiler hopefully)

Frogster8,

Frogster8,

Read the article, that’s exactly what they are giving, it’s astounding the scale at which people would rather output words than input them

Read it > Comment on it

Frogster8,

Ffs, still no pixel remaster sale, the wait continues

Frogster8,

Must’ve been because it required more effort than releasing the same thing over and over for full price with a new coat of paint

Frogster8,

For me, if I already know the game exists, a teaser is absolutely pointless.

Frogster8,

Number 8 - Sorry but what, I picked this up about 3 months after launch on ps5 and it ran horrendously on all modes and even had screen tearing! I’ve not seen screen tearing in a console game since r6 siege on x1.

Can’t speak for pc performance but too often performance is overlooked in games, would you give car of the year to something with an electrical fault, I doubt it.

Frogster8,

While at camp, you can now access and manage the inventories of companions who aren’t in your active party.

Sounds like it’s not possible everywhere just at camp, also, the main thing I want is official autosorting containers, I use the mod but it can be janky at times, inventory management has put me off playing and I really want to I just got sick of organising loot and marking as items to sell and splitting stacks etc etc

Frogster8,

Opposite for me completely. I spent 120hrs on it and it flew by completely, I was sad when it ended and found I got no satisfaction from ng+ and also, couldn’t bring myself to do a raw ng again with exploration of everything.

So new content is precisely what would entice me back to this and what I want.

Frogster8,

Didn’t debunk the ff9 remake though… I’ll grasp any straw I can! It must be happening

Frogster8,

This comment needs to come with a warning, I bought slay the spire 2 weeks ago and it combined with a steam deck is taking over my life. It has the civ “one more turn” factor massively, doesn’t seem to have the same run diversity as Binding of isaac but it’s as addictive.

Frogster8,

Think it’s broken, I asked it

“is it under 6 letters” “is it less than 6 letters”

And it shrugged both times

Frogster8,

An AI written post which has a very tiny connection to gaming…

Frogster8,

Click bait title instead of just staying the name

Games title is IWBTG (I wanna be the guy)

Frogster8,

Copied from reddit user u/iamshieldstick on reddit because I hate having to watch an 8m video for a 1m read of info.

Summary

  • Thank you for making the game surpass 1 million copies sold!
  • The highest priority for the team is developing the DLC and working on the sequel. Brainstorming and exploring different aspects of the projects.
  • Planning another patch in November (exact dates are still being discussed).
  • Expect some balances in the weapon assembly system
  • Rising dodge will be provided as a default skill, eliminating the need to unlock it from the P-Organ. This is to ease the difficulty in the early stages of the game specifically against the shovel puppet (aka Pancake Bot).
  • Polendina will sell 2 additional Quartz from the first stage of his shop.
  • They will give Alidoro costumes to all players as a token of gratitude, including his mask
  • They will introduce an extra slot for facial accessories, enabling the wearing of hats and glasses at the same time.
  • They are planning to add new wearables in the game - the Alchemist’s Hat (Venigni Hat) and a brand new pair of glasses!
  • Aside from these, several other elements are currently in preparation. For a comprehensive overview of the final contents, please refer to the upcoming patch notes
  • They are grateful to the players for praises and compliments on the music. They are currently in the process of preparing the release of the soundtrack. The collection will have nearly all the music from Lies of P, totaling more than 60 tracks.
  • They are also working more diligently and investing considerable thought and effort to meet the expectations in the Wo Long Fallen Dynasty crossover and make the collaboration of the highest quality.
  • Working on DLC - they are hiring new developers to join their team.
  • Shared some sketches from the DLC. These images are merely the tip of an iceberg. Let your imagination go wild and anticipate what’s to come.
Frogster8,

I would say 99.9999% of the times it’s superior to make a table with a saw instead of an axe

Frogster8,

If they can’t use a saw to chop something straight I’m sure as shit not trusting them to do it with an axe. I think it was a bad analogy.

Frogster8,

Be interesting to see what it’d get if you took the Mario textures off and it was reviewed as just the game itself instead of the branding, I saw all the 9/10, 10/10 and it’s just standard for any reviewer and Nintendo.

Frogster8,

I realise in modern gaming most people don’t care about this anymore, but seeing a development roadmap for a game you can actually buy in a store is just a failure.

Remember betas and demos, now we pay for the privilege of these, you buy early access to play an unfinished product, you buy a deluxe edition for 72 hour pre-release.

Just a terrible trend I really hate to see and it doesn’t seem to happen anywhere else, I wouldn’t pay for a whole film and get the first quarter while the rest is edited and released, I wouldn’t pay for an album of 10 songs but they’re still writing 8.

Baffling.

Frogster8,

I think I’ll put my comments about early access on a post about a game in early access, if you’ve got a problem don’t read it.

At no point did I say it wasn’t clearly labelled, you’re arguing non existent points. Finally, something isn’t moaning because it disagrees with you, perception can be an interesting thing and you seem to lack the ability to process a differing view point.

Frogster8,

okay then keep complaining buddy

Ironic, enjoy!

Frogster8,

Isn’t this game not out yet, how is there dlc gameplay?

Frogster8,

Ah okay, I have comments on YouTube hidden for the same reason I haven’t read beyond that bit of your paragraph (sorry) spoilers!

Maybe it’ll make more sense to me later then, I was just confused seeing DLC trailers for a game I hadn’t seen come out yet.

Frogster8,

That’s a really shame, good that it’s still possible to get it but weird to make it available immediately by paying. Just an odd choice, wonder what makes it special, guess I’ll find out once I beat lies of P then get the game and beat it to unlock

Frogster8,

Between lies of P and this I’ve gone from 0 interest in my backlog to 2 games to beat

Frogster8,

This is just them talking - mostly - about how much everyone loves the game they made and then saying the reason they didn’t give you previews is because people who attack bugs they had fixes in progress for.

Basically it read like an advert for the game they made as a blog post.

Frogster8,

Profit margin driven companies backed by a capitalist society where infinite growth is deemed viable sucks*

What games can you recommend that didn't get the appreciation that they deserved? angielski

I’ve been recently been thinking about Arkane Studio’s Prey which is a immersive sim, with a pretty good rogue like dlc, that probably has one of the strongest hooks of any game I’ve played. If you liked Halflife, System Shock, or Deus Ex it’s definitely worth a play....

Frogster8,

Best game ever made, really is. First I’d played in years that felt like a fresh new experience.

Frogster8,

If you can’t work out how to make a cold person warm, maybe this isn’t the game for you, I didn’t even realise that was a puzzle or challenge tbh

Frogster8,

I’m not sure the game can be blamed for that

Frogster8,

People with an addictive personality will find an addiction, self control must be experienced and learned, and you can’t blame a game for this.

Frogster8,

You have a very biased and immature mindset towards the situation tbh and I can’t really waste any more time on this, but blaming the game for your friends not being nice to you anymore is just not realistic

Frogster8,

Ah brilliant, lots of huge spoilers, nice one

Frogster8,

Yeah, a click bait article written based on an anecdote with no real substance or purpose, might as well be a YouTube short

Frogster8,

Ironically this gripe is just as outdated

Frogster8,

That’s pretty much all I’ve wanted in a game since I played AC4 or the pirates of the carribean on xbox.

So much so that while at uni doing comp sci I started trying to get into game dev just to learn that knowing how to program was such a fraction of requirement, I couldn’t make 2D or 3D assets at all, just don’t have the flair for it and didn’t want to use bought assets.

Still waiting for somebody to make my dream game

Frogster8,

Interesting I didn’t know that, how long have they owned 30%?

This post is a bit reminiscent of r/gamercirclejerk but at least your comment taught me something new and salvaged it

Frogster8,

For anyone - like me - who doesn’t know what this is, it’s a showcase for mods of (mostly) older retro games.
