Read my comment if you like speculation and future prediction.
It’s a bit too early to talk about this. First the Switch 2 will come out, then probably Steam Deck 2, then Xbox Portable and only then Sony is ready to release. At that point its already in the middle of the Switch 2’s life cycle and the market is full of handhelds. If Sony comes up with expensive prices again, it will be a tough sale (in the long run) and it ends up being a similar failure (for units sold) like the Vita.
The Playstation Portal just streams and is already 200 Dollar. It’s basically a tablet with controllers attached to it, but less capable. If Sony goes the route of Apple and markets the Playstation Handheld as a premium device for hardcore fans, then do not expect it being cheaper than 500, around same price as the original PS5. I hope Sony will surprise me.
I know of brothers creating Aldi North and Aldi South, at least here in Germany (Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd). I wasn’t aware of the history of Lidl being a direct competitor to Aldi. Just looked up on Wikipedia for quick reference.
There aren’t ripoffs of Breath of the Wild. Maybe Immortals Fenyx Rising is inspired by BotW, but I can hardly call it a ripoff. It’s a unique game that stands on its own. Otherwise there is no increase in Breath of the Wild ripoffs in 2020.
I tested this with a fresh Firefox profile, which is basically like a new installation without any customization. So looks like its not because of my personal customization or addons. Same results. On my old machine I remember using this website and I could navigate through the levels. But that’s 2 years ago or so, don’t remember.
Just had the genius idea to look in the Browser console and this is the message:
14:23:43.794 NotFoundError: No such JSProcessActor ‘BrowserToolboxDevToolsProcess’ 3
I’m on Linux. No clue what is needed, because the error message is not specific enough. I have created an issue on the Github page. Hopefully this can be resolved.
The double tilde was an attempt to strike through the text. For me site does not work. I mean the site itself works, but nothing when I click and load a scenery. Can you load a map and use it interactively?
Edit: Oh, looks like my browser or its configuration does not work, maybe a plugin or Firefox itself: noclip.website/?webgpu
Digital Foundry did an analysis. It’s a mixed bag, some games may look better, some worse. The core problem seems to be the new upscaling technology PSSR from Sony (for haters its pronounced like “pisser”, oh I see in your other comment you are already aware of this lol).
Imagine paying a premium price of 800 Euros and then getting this. Fanboys will defend it no matter what, just like Apple fans defend if they purchase crap.
interactive 3D maps: noclip.website (Edit: Note this site does not work for me anymore, but seem to work for others. It could be my browser Firefox or an addon, I have no idea.)
An absolute Legend! Here is a documentation from Karl Jobst, about Suigi almost having all 5 records from 2 weeks ago: youtu.be/zUn6HPwNk9k or same video watched through Invidious (a more private YouTube): inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=zUn6HPwNk9k
(Edit: rephrase as the previous statement sounded misleading)
I personally don’t care which game wins the awards. I’m there watching for entertainment. I see lot of discussions and people take the awards too serious in my opinion. It’s like taking IGN scores serious. :D
What’s wild to me is, that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom didn’t appear once on this list.
You are right. I just tested it on my mobile browser and it just says “Perhaps on a desktop browser?”.
But I found a way to make it kind of work, but its not as good or seemless like on a real desktop PC. It halfway works if you switch your browser mode to Desktop mode. In your browser menu (the 3 dots, what’s called? hamburger menu?) should have an option to enable “Desktop site”. Then reload page and if you click the gun, it should pop out. Now try to click an element on the webpage, maybe the text. If it does not fall, click again. Unfortunately you can’t (or I can’t) hold an element and drag it around.
Ah, I missed that comment. They even build an entire physics engine for this website, to resemble the physics in Half-Life 2. Objects like text and images interact with each other and stack on top. Love it!
