"However, sky watching veteran and reentry tracker, Jonathan McDowell who works at the Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, told Inside Outer Space that there is "no obvious space candidate. I am not convinced it's not from an airplane. Don’t see obvious evidence of reentry heating.""
Well, my skepticism about the Kenya space debris may have been wrong. I reviewed the data again, concluding that Space Force estimates of the Ariane V184 upper stage reentry are unreliable; an assocation with this object can’t be ruled out.

Cool find! 🌌 The Webb telescope is diving deep into the Butterfly Nebula’s heart, revealing its intricate gas shells, shifting dynamics, and how the central star’s death shaped its stunning structure. minecraft 1.21 apk #Space#Astronomy

On October 4-5 (yup, next weekend!), @NASA is calling people from around the globe to join this year’s #SpaceAppsChallenge, the largest annual global hackathon. ✨🛰️🚀
And no, it is not just about creating "apps". #SpaceAppsChallenge is not just for coders or scientists. A global finalist from Tajikstan created a comic in 2021 to tell the story of NASA's Lucy Trojan Asteroid Mission. A global winner in 2020 from Peru created mascots to help make learning about earth and space science more fun and welcoming for younger audiences. A global finalist from the US created a children’s storybook that included moving illustrations, sound effects, and engaging music in order to tell the story of Parker, the solar probe.
Also, if you are interested not in participating in the hackathon per se but are interested in (a) being a project judge (there’s a clear rubric I’d go over with you) and help nominate local projects for global prizes, or (b) being a mentor to teams, let me know. 🙂
