Ive had more issues on this game than not having the right haircut… ive had scenes turn black mid dialogue, clipping through walls, weird camera angles that force my character to T-pose… the list goes on. The game is great as long as it doesnt get bugged out
They sound minor, they look hilarious, but then your smile fades as whatever is causing the bug blocks input to try and get past it, forcing a reload. I’m LOVING this game, but out of the 20 or so hours I’ve been able to sink into it since launch, a solid 2-3 of those hours have been retracing steps or generally trying to circumvent big bugs.
(Full disclosure: I am playing exclusively on the Steam Deck which I am 99.9% certain is the reason for all of the bugs I face)
That’s so strange, I am 40 hrs in and can’t remember any bugs.
The only annoying thing is the camera that sometimes doesn’t show the layer I want so see and it’s sometimes hard to navigate, but I wouldn’t count that as a bug. Also characters in my party walking over hazardous areas when following the main char is so fucking annoying. I’m like 99% sure they didn’t do that in divinity original sin 2
Yeah im also about 40 hours in and ive had at least 4 or 5 force quits where ive lost about an hour of time. Ive had bugs right from the beginning. In the cutscene where you leave the ship, ive had 2 friends say their screen either just flickered or their screen froze on screen for minutes. It was funny because they were playing naked and the screen froze on their butt for a solid 2 minutes. This is only within the first 1 hour. Ive had maybe 20 or 30 occurances where the screen freezes and I have to either wait for the game to unfreeze or it goes to that force quit i mentioned earlier.
I know the teams are different but i just thought its weird that its not talked about. It cant be just my group of friends that has these issues.

Sure, but it’s not like the team responsible for fixing those bugs is likely to be the same team working on character creation. Any time any studio announces something like this, people suddenly act like division of labor isn’t a thing. If you’re running a store and new inventory needs to get unloaded off the truck, you wouldn’t shut down the checkouts and send your cashiers who don’t drive forklifts to go do it.
I thought my tiefling druid with green cornrows looked ok in the character gen screen, but she admittedly looks kind of stupid now, though it doesn’t help that she has this emotionless expression on her face. I think I’ll just make her wear the mask of the shapeshifter from now on.
Major quality of life feature. People make mistakes, sometimes the character lighting in the gen screen is completely different from in-game and now your character is stuck with purple eyes.
What I’d like to see afterwards is player PC slot kicking / clearing. Far too many people have started a game with some friends only for a person to quit/leave after dropping by to realize to their horror that character is permanently locked to that save and can’t be replaced with an NPC.
Lol. Goodbye BlazeIt! Go out in a...YourName of glory!
But I think people want those characters to show up when the player does and disappear the rest of the time. Otherwise your CoOp saves pretty much need to be 100% co-op. Can't really drop in and out with your friends.

I’ve seen this in a lot of games recently and it annoys me a bit. Diablo 4 for example the character creation hair color looks sometimes okay, but then in-game horrible.
For role play purposes we could add scars and stuff after particularly nasty fights, or maybe face paint/tattoos if your backstory imaginations involve tribalism and body art trophies.
Maybe if Larian feels like it they can have different npcs react if your character changed since they last spoke to you, like suddenly vibrant blue hair is now red
Well that’s just painful to read. I wonder how political a conference could be named before he thinks even showing up is no longer the neutrality he thinks he is showing. “BasedCon” is by its definition a political name, and simply showing up shows you are at least receptive to the message, or willing to ignore it.
I do get that he might be wanting to disassociate the Con from the craft, but if I take it further, would he go to PolPotCon? I doubt he would, even if the interest aligned.
You've gotta start turning kinda early to avoid running into walls, and the c and v keys (brake right and brake left) will help you on really tight corners
Never got used to the handling of the ships in Wipeout as a kid. Enjoyed F-Zero X a lot more. Didn't really care for the combat aspects either.
I wish there was a good anti gravity racer for the PC with extensive ship customization and lots of unlockables though (as in playing to unlock, not paying). There's pretty much just small indie titles and most of them aren't even particularly good.
Man, I used to love futuristic racers when I was a kid. I put in some serious hours into the Xtreme G and the N64 version of Star Wars Podracer. Freaking Jetmoto... man, those were the days!
