Just stop paying for it. After just a few weeks you’ll realize it was a silly addiction. There’s lots of great games that don’t require a subscription.
Lol yes…yes I do! I didn’t know it was banned because it was played quite a bit on whatever I used to watch. Man I want to say G4 but I’m not sure the time lines work out.
The names are terrible too. Bravely default was decently enjoyable but octopath traveller being stupidly expensive and not very enjoyable after trying it has made me not bother with every other game name printed in that title template.
I spent days in Wraith wandering around on the army map with just my party before finally figuring out I had an actual army too. Now I can’t find my camp to rest up in lol. It might be a failed campaign.
The best game I could describe as merely an interactive movie has been The Quarry. The game itself is pretty meh (but I’m not a big fan of these personally), however the movie part is amazing. It could easily be just a kick ass horror movie. And you can even play it that way with Movie Mode, where you pick the best outcome, the worst outcome, or set up some sliders to give a mix of outcomes at every interaction and just watch shit unfold.
Detroit: Become Human is also in this vein, with an even wilder array of possible outcomes as well as some more real gameplay and puzzle solving.
