This article is kinda pointless. Go look at the linked PR. The author says his optimizations yield a tiny performance gain. Not particularly worth mentioning.
For some reason I had terrible FPS drops in the original Cyberpunk from time to time - had to reload the game every half an hour or hour to restore FPS. If that would be fixed - I'm in. Liked the game otherwise, so all I need is some new quests, which PL should provide
I hate this trend. I dont really care about the game itself, I just hate this thing that publishers do when they delay a game purely because they want to min-max sales.
Another way to look at it is to say that if it comes out and gets absolutely killed then you’ll likely never see a sequel, regardless of how good a game it is. Look at Titanfall 2.
I really hope it turns out well. Fallout/Skyrim with spaceships is basically my dream game and if this can live up to it even half way through, it's still going to be better than any other attempt at it in the last decade (looking at you SC, NMS, ED, X4).
I'm still gonna give it at least 6 months before getting it though, maybe by then we get some substantial patches or (UI) mods as well. I still have some other big games in the backlog so I'm in no rush, after all I've been waiting a while for sth like this ^^
I agree. I’m also annoyed at gaming media giving sonic games shit. I understand there were many many bad games, but some of the most recent stuff is quite enjoyable. I love frontiers. Mania is great. Sonic forces was a bit goofy but fairly enjoyable. Murder of Sonic is fun and free. Sonic generations (especially the 3ds version) is cool too. And they made origins more worthwhile all while prepping for a big new classic sonic game with multiplayer that I’m pretty hyped for.
I mean the other end of the spectrum is something like Metroid. Almost all of the games are bangers (not you whatever that third person shooter one was called) but are released few and far between.
I’ve been using Mac for decades and have yet to have a particularly pleasant gaming experience with it, although I don’t generally go looking for it anymore. Last I tried, I bought FF XIV “FOR MAC” and it couldn’t run on my MBP, which was the latest model at the time. It would run if I had an older OS running though. And to top it off, I wasn’t even allowed a refund for the mistake, because it was a problem with WINE and not square’s fault. I decided Mac games weren’t worth the frustration at that point.
