TORFdot0, do games w Veteran Call of Duty designer David Vonderhaar has left Treyarch | VGC

This dude was treyarch for me during the World at War and Black Ops era. He was one of the holdovers of their era where they tried to make Call of Duty good. Instead of just make it a whale milker

dan1101, do gaming w Tencent is bringing back military FPS series Delta Force

Unfortunately it seems not much like the original Delta Force games.

paddirn, do games w Larian working on mid-game Baldur’s Gate 3 character customisation

I thought my tiefling druid with green cornrows looked ok in the character gen screen, but she admittedly looks kind of stupid now, though it doesn’t help that she has this emotionless expression on her face. I think I’ll just make her wear the mask of the shapeshifter from now on.

Whenever will be all good. There are a few things going on over there

NanoooK, do games w It costs $100 to unlock all of Street Fighter 6’s TMNT content | VGC

Don’t buy the game then. Editor won’t stop if their sales don’t decrease.

else,

The game is great and easily the best japanese fighting game experience for casuals. (Mechanically I prefer anime fighters though.) For once a Japanese game has all the bells and whistles instead of almost purely focusing on the multiplayer.

The cosmetics are what they are. At least it’s not p2w but it’s up to consumers to not spend if they don’t agree with paying more in a game they already bought.

Edit: downvote me all you want but the truth is that street fighter 6 was a very big step forward for japanese fighting games in terms of what they offer consumers. The fgc hasn’t had games that can truly appeal to and bring in new players so I can’t help but be happy for it. The only exceptions would be NRS’s games and smash.

cantstopthesignal,

I don’t know why people hate on this so much. Cosmetics are how they want to make money and it doesn’t fuck up the game play.

Bretzel, do gaming w Cyberpunk’s expansion totally overhauls the original game | VGC

I liked Cyberpunk when it launched (despite the false promises from Projekt Red), but THIS is very promising. I will surely replay the game

Hold tight, no preorders!

Maybe I should finish the game, before the patch and then after, to experience the differences!

… Who am I kidding, I will probably procrastinate playing, since my backlog is too long and then maybe play it in September. Looking forward to the DLC, it sounds great!

Putting “Tekken Boss” in the headline Like that ist pretty cheeky.

So am I to some extent.

Ashtear, (edited ) do games w The Game Awards 2025 Nominees

Good showing for E33 but I’m not convinced it’s a shoo-in for GotY. It’s a media-run event and the press adored Hades 2. Plus there’s always the Kojima factor and it would be the first time TGA’s ever given it to a studio’s first game.

overload, (edited )

Looking at the sheer number of nominations e33 has gotten, I would be absolutely shocked if it didn’t win game of the year.

It’s defined as “Recognizing a game that delivers the absolute best experience across all creative and technical fields.”

While that’s pretty nebulous a definition on its own, the fact that seemingly every other creative and technical field has its own award category, and E33 is nominated for most of them, speaks to it being a shoe-in for the GOTY category.

finitebanjo, do games w Square Enix says it wants generative AI to be doing 70% of its QA and debugging by the end of 2027

I kind of wrote Square Enix off years ago, but I'm definitely not buying anything they make in the future.
