I understand Nexon, and F2P, and all that, but having played this in Closed Beta I found it to be a really enjoyable game. Hopefully they don't mar it with overaggressive monetization.
The DRM was added right as the game’s 72-hour early access period started, which is included as part of Lies of P‘s Deluxe Edition.
The actual work done to integrate Denuvo was far before release, of course, but it feels a bit sneaky to disclose the DRM as late as possible. I wonder if this is how it's disclosed for other games as well.
Epos make a couple of USB DAC/AMPs too, and the GSX 1000 is apparently reasonably well received. Haven't used one personally but it shows up on my Amazon recommendations occasionally.
I have found it impossible to climb above Iron 2 because of smurfs, bots and powerlevellers inting their accounts deliberately so that they can resell them.

they’re lucrative for YouTube content creators because they use them to do ‘Iron to Grandmaster’ series.
This seems like a reasonable approach but the smurfs have already ruined all the games prior to being banned. I wonder how difficult it is to prevent smurfing altogether? Doesn't seem like it'd be easy at all.
The upscaler is trained on higher resolution data and so it can more accurately depict subpixel and temporal information which is lost at native. DLSS can produce more detail than native in those cases.
