3D Realms, today a publishing label by Embracer Group, focuses on retro games. Just like 10 or so years ago pixel art games had a resurgence, since about 5 years old school FPS games came back as well. This is both a path to reduce workload as well as a gameplay design choice.
3D Realms’ annual event, Realms Deep, is the biggest showcase for such games.
I don’t. The entire stream recording is over 4 hours long, packed with trailers and the stupid talk show bits. Me posting 9 of those trailers is hardly spamming. Given that I commented on each trailer should be proof enough that I actually watched them.
You know what’s a good way to get people to ignore your posts and community? Spamming.
It’s not really my fault that 3D Realms released dozens of trailers at the same time because they have their Realms Deep event going. I got up (European time), watched the stream (skipping the weird talk show parts) and posted the selection of the trailers that I like.
Talk to 3D Realms if you prefer trailers being spread more apart.
This is bonkers. I already liked the demo and and I’m still blown away by the fact that they achieved that amout of graphical fidelity using the GZDoom engine.
That’s the expansion by the Voidpoint people who didn’t leave a good impression with some of their hurtful “jokes”. Personally, I’m not looking forward to it but it’s the closest thing to a new Duke3D, so some people might be interested.
