Very excited for this one. Alan Wake 1 wasn’t a masterpiece or anything but I’m very interested to see how they do with a much bigger budget and more experience making games.
OH MY GOD THEY REALLY JUST MADE THE GAME THAT MUCH EASIER RIGHT AFTER I BEAT IT.
Added the feature to reset the character’s level, P-Organ, and Legion Arms at the ‘Gold Coin Tree’
This is great!
Players will now be able to carry more weight for each point spent on Capacity
Decreased the weight of Amulets that could be purchased with Boss Ergo
If you’ve played the game, this is huge. I’ve put 20 points into capacity and still wasn’t able to equip the amulets I wanted without being slightly heavy. If only I waited a couple of days, the endgame sounds like a lot of fun after these changes.
That’s hilarious. I can’t believe someone would openly admit to putting malware in a paid mod, I’m surprised anyone actually bought it in the first place.
I know they won’t, but I really hope they strip out the mictrotransaction garbage for the Steam version. I would totally play an actual remake of the game.
It’s unbelievably frustrating to see Fextralife constantly on the top of Twitch charts because they embed their twitch stream on every page to generate views.
On one hand I love vintage story’s focus on realism, on the other hand crafting and smelting stuff takes forever I sometimes wish it were as simple as minecraft. It’s cool the first few times but if I have to make another pot or heat up my metals and wack them a million times I’m going insane.
Ugh. I can’t believe we waited all this time just for them to lie about local play, add a premium cash store where one skin can cost over the price of the game, and LOOTBOXES in a premium game. What a disappointment.
I’ve been playing a lot and it’s the first soulslike that’s genuinely great. It obviously borrows a lot but the mechanics they added in like the arm, skill tree, weapon assembling etc. do a great job at expanding some ideas rather then just copy pasting.
I agree with some people that it’s deceptively more similar to Sekiro than Dark Souls. Even with the first dodge upgrade I feel like it’s a bit undertuned compared to perfect blocks. Dodging feels finnicky because it has little I-frames and many enemies and bosses have insane tracking that’s hard to dodge. Hopefully they might balance it out a little in the future.
I’m very happy the game didn’t turn out to just be puppets as the first few areas suggest. The game really gets going when you come across some real monster variety. The area I’m in now is straight out of resident evil 4.
The one other complaint I have is the dialogue. It’s so hit or miss. Like it’s trying to be Bloodborne but also a comedy? It feels bizarre to see a lot of horror and be completely taken out by Gemminy making jokes. Just doesn’t work for me.
