Although it’s very dangerous to play the game if you had mental illness history. Playing the game triggered a psychosis episode for my friend who was admitted to a psychiatric hospital.
The thing is, Valve works mostly as a collective with mostly flat structure. So there can’t be a higher up ordering people around to make HL3. The whole team needs to believe in it.
Just hire Kirkbride back goddamnit. I installed Immortals of Aveum and saw that Kirkbride is the main writer and got pumped on the game but that damn thing keeps crashing on me. So I’m back to just playing Diablo or Minecraft for the time being.
Ahh, reminds me of grinding for reputation so I can get the Cutter and Corvette. I still keep Elite installed and still waiting to get the will to start that game. Odyssey really left a bad taste on my mouth.
CDPR effectively rewrote the campaign after Keanu Reeves told them that he’s game if CDPR wants to record more lines. I still remember the E3 demo where CDPR said that the campaign has been completed and they’re just in the polishing stages.
If you’re a HP fan the game is a no-brainer. But if not I suggest finding another AAA RPG game. I borrowed my friend’s copy via family sharing and I only got maybe around 4-5 hours in before I got bored and uninstalled the game.
Just bouncing between Overwatch 2 and MW3 as currently I’m still burned out playing SP games since playing AC6 to NG++, AW2 on hard, miraculously managed to finish a durge honor mode run (this is what burned me out, too stressful playing CRPGs with only 1 save, with a durge run at that).
I’ve also found that Warzone 3 is surprisingly good so most of my old Warzone 1 squad are reinstalling the game and we started playing together again.
If you don’t have much experience playing CRPGs I think it can be quite difficult. But once you get the hang of building classes, even honor mode will definitely be doable.
With the addition of Honour mode in BG3 I decided to finally start a Dark Urge playthru for the first time. It’s been a wild ride, Shart and Gale died and I almost lost everyone in my party lol.
I hated the magical + physical armor parts in the D:OS mechanic. I think using a DnD ruleset instead of their own helps BG3 mainstream success. This is anecdotal evidence but I have a friend that is unable to play D:OS2 but loves BG3 very much.
