Activision has always been awful but they’ve really done their damndest to ensure I never want to play a COD game again

Their UI is the absolute worst thing I’ve laid eyes on. It spends more time advertising other products instead of showing, yknow, how to launch the game I paid money for. I quite literally had to google how to launch the CoD remake because their UI was so confusing
install sizes are absurd. I still remember the COD remake took 500GB to install
and now micro transactions in loadout screens
And this doesn’t even include all the fuckery with their C-Suite.
I don’t know why they make it so awful to try to play the game you paid full price for.
I thought some of that was them trying to wash away the original fascist roots of OG 40K. Haven’t they been trying to slowly retool and rebrand the imperium more as the “good guys” so they can sell more merch?
Discord did there best to be an all in one solution and we just need a return to real time chat and voice along with asynchronous communication like forums
I remember the multiplayer almost killed this game. They had an early beta of the MP and it was a lukewarm reception. I personally tried it and thought it was ehhh. Then it released and everyone raved about the single player.
