Psythik, do games w PlayStation 5- how sre the visuals so good and games run so well on a machine with the equivalent of a GTX 2060?

Well as someone who has played the PC version, I can immediately tell that this game is probably running on Medium or possibly even Low. There’s fewer confetti particles, the explosion is less detailed, the fur doesn’t look as real and the lighting isn’t as good. Not to mention that it’s running non-native resolution/no DLSS cause you can clearly see the ailiasing. That said, it looks great for a $500 machine. My PC was over $4K cause I just had to have a 4090 (after I saw how disappointing the rest of the RTX 4000 lineup was. I usually only buy midrange GPUs).

In other words: Optimization.

Psythik, do games w I've tested Nvidia's latest ray tracing magic in Cyberpunk 2077 and it's a no-brainer: at worst it's just better-looking, at best it's that and a whole lot more performance

You’re probably right. I like RPGs and I love science fiction, but for some reason I just can’t get into Cyberpunk. You’d think I’d enjoy it but nope. The story just doesn’t captivate me and there isn’t much to do outside of the campaign, so…

I already did but Cyberpunk is still boring. What am I doing wrong?

Psythik, do games w Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty review: perhaps the best expansion pack ever made

How are you enjoying Starfield so far? I somehow managed to play for over 30 hours before I realized that the story isn’t very engaging and that I’m not having any fun. The only entertainment I’m getting is from looting a bunch of junk I’ll never use, but I can do that in literally any Bethesda game. Just curious what you think.

If I don’t like the main story cause it’s too confusing (and boring), will I like this expansion, or is it more of the same?

I can’t play more than 30 minutes of this game at a time without getting bored, but I already bought it so I’m determined to get my money’s worth.

Psythik, (edited ) do games w The Xbox Series S Is More Popular Than The Xbox Series X

Well yeah, most people are still using 1080p TVs. Your average console gamer doesn’t need 4K, nor do they care about framerates. They just want to play games*.

Psythik, do games w Microsoft documents leak new Bethesda games, including an Oblivion remaster

And then when they do make something new, they have to go and put the most boring story they could come up with in it.

Psythik, do games w Game wikis just aren't as popular anymore?

This is why I only look for the videos where the uploader is showing their screen, and then watch them at 10x speed (using the Enhancer For YouTube addon) with the sound on mute.

Psythik, (edited ) do gaming w Penny Arcade sums up the Unity debacle in the first panel.

Which is stupid AF cause aren’t Millenials the primary audience for PA comics? Why would you insult your base?

Psythik, do gaming w Penny Arcade sums up the Unity debacle in the first panel.

It got boring cause the characters stopped evolving. They all act like the same person in different bodies.

Psythik, do games w GTA V turns 10: The impact and legacy of Rockstar's biggest game - and why sequel is taking so long

GTA Online was the best part of V (the campaign is just meh, especially compared to IV and San Andreas) so as long as they don’t make it too grind-y (and actually give solo players something fun to do in free mode) then I’m sure it’ll turn out fine.

Psythik, do gaming w Starfield remake created in two days actually lets you fly seamlessly from space to the surface

There’s a mod for that

Psythik, do games w Starfield’s Planets Are Covered In Thousands Of Dead Creatures

I don’t think the Creation/Ganebryo engine is capable of such complexity.

Psythik, do games w This Fallout New Vegas Mod rewrites over 1,000 functions to improve performance and reduce load/save times

Still on Windows 10, though.

Well there you go. Win10 is old enough now to still be compatible with those games. But like I said, try it on a modern machine running 11.

That said, even in my Windows 7 days, NV still crashed all the time. The game had a rushed development; it’s a miracle that it runs at all on any PC.

Psythik, do games w This Fallout New Vegas Mod rewrites over 1,000 functions to improve performance and reduce load/save times

It absolutely does, though. Vanilla crashes all the time and has several game-breaking bugs. I don’t recommend that anyone plays New Vegas unmodded – especially on a newer machine that’ll be less compatible (like my 7700X + 4090 rig running Windows 11) – unless you just hate yourself. You need community patches to get it in a playable state.

Same goes for Fallout 3. It’s not nearly as buggy as NV, of course, but try running it Vanilla on a modern Windows 11 machine and let me know how well that goes for you lol. You get massive framerate dips and it literally crashes every 5 minutes on a brand new PC if you don’t install any mods to make it compatible.
