I look forward to seeing how the Deck holds up with some of these titles! I’ll admit, I’ve been thinking about getting it to use as a portable PS2 myself.
There’s no issue with PS2 games! I raise the resolution up to 3x native (I think? Whichever one is 1080, anyway), and also apply HD texture packs. There’s not one issue I’ve come across on a PS2 game so far. And setting RetroDECK up to play them is a breeze!
Do it!
I’ve already got Spider-Man 2 on there (others also recommended it), but reading through your list, these all look wonderful! I didn’t actually know the ‘Stories’ games on PS2 for GTA didn’t end up on PC, thanks for that tip!
I really enjoyed playing through it, mostly because I got to watch everything get shot down! I’ve kept it in my game library to occasionally shoot things when I feel the urge :)
I’ve been playing Ratchet & Clank (something-or-other-about-booty) via RPCS3 on my Steam Deck, and I’ve been loving that! Totally forgot R&C got their start on PS2. Thanks!
I can understand that, but having never owned any PS2, and only played some of what it offered by modern remakes…there’s really nothing I’m going to ignore. Not sure why I’d cull this down when I don’t want any suggestions culled down.
What I’m looking for is what people enjoyed playing themselves. Generally when someone loved a game, they’ll recommend it and explain why they did. Thanks anyway!
Previously, we offered free Key applications to replace game versions for existing players. However, as of this month, the number of supplementary Keys distributed has exceeded 30% of the total sales volume prior to this initiative—and we still receive numerous feedbacks from players stating they haven’t received their Keys, along with complaints about slow email response times.

I do hope it eventuates, but…I’ve seen enough ‘credible’ leaks that its right around the corner to last me a lifetime
I hope it arrives for you, because RDR2 is a beautiful game, in its own slow way. Well worth replaying!
I’d love to replay, but I spent so many hours in it. Much like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, I think I can’t actually play any more of it because I played so much already
To me if it’s a new release of a game…of course it should be shared! The first person to post it (preferably with their own views on the game coming written underneath) keeps the community up-to-date with what games look like. Trailer ‘dumping’ really only happens when there’s a big event, and the point of that event is seeing trailers for games. It makes sense to have them shared here.
But posts sharing the same trailer after that first? Removed.
I don’t think of it as ad spam, because it’s not like Rockstar is making a Lemmy account to make sure we see the GTA VI trailer. If we denied trailers being posted, there’d be some very angry Silksong people when that one got the trailer!
Okay so before 2 or so months back, I worked as a pen-tester (red team), so when I wasn’t breaking in to facilities, or convincing security guards that I was the CEO’s daughter or a worker who forgot their pass, I was typically on my desktop. Which left me some time to spend contributing to spaces like this community on Lemmy!
Since then though I had a bit of a health hiccup, and took time off. I’m still taking time off, and while I’m being as active as I can, I’m now with quite a bit of time to spend doing things like this, or writing the odd feat. article/interview and sharing it on my friend’s site - so maybe I’m lucky, in one regard?!
Right now I’m playing Red Dead on my Switch OLED, and Deus Ex Mankind Divided on my Steam Deck :)
