I pretty much switched to the Steam Deck, but I still have a backlog of games on Xbox that I may end up with one or two last Xboxes if my Series S dies for any reason. Hopefully it lives long enough that I don’t have to get a new Xbox sometime in the future.
Even though I stopped buying new games on Xbox for sometime now, numerous reasons to boycott Microsoft I’m sure you have yours too. There is still probably another Xbox console or two in my life due to the over 300 game digital library I have accumulated over three generations due to Xbox Live Gold and Microsoft Rewards.
I never bought a console at launch, this won’t change this time either. I will wait for either the OLED or Lite models, or at least until there’s 5 games that I really want and can’t get anywhere else.
I have both. So far the only advantage the Switch Lite has is that is lighter and pocketable. The Steam Deck is not just about gaming which it does so well, it has also become my main and only PC outside of work. I have it hocked up to my TV more often than use it in handheld mode.
My most played game in my Steam library is Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus which came out in 2013. The newest game in my library is Atelier Sophie DX a rerelease of a 2015 game.
Xenogears is the best game, or at least JRPG, I ever played and I played over 40 JRPGs from the 8bit era to the modern era. There might be a better JRPG out there but I haven’t played it yet.
I have an XBox Series S that I purchased using Microsoft Rewards points, but over the past year I decided to boycott Microsoft for a myriad of reasons and stopped buying games for it and switched to Playstation, Switch and Steam as my platforms of choice for new game purchases. I still have a massive library for XBox so I will still be playing on it for years to come.
